@ryanatl34 yes it is there has never been a 767 ever in DCA that was the first it is just to big for DCA this was a one time event also your thinking of the b 757 200...
@airbus320dfw I realize your response is many months old, but I had to comment since you are extremely wrong on your so-called 'facts.' First of all, KDCA is certified to handle aircraft as large as the Airbus A300 and 767-400ER. It's just that no airline chooses to fly those planes into DCA, based on space constraints at the airport and no need for that type of capacity. Also, the largest plane to ever land at DCA, was a DC-10-10 which made an emergency landing many moons ago.
I could have sworn I saw a widebody at DCA (DL 767) before this...but idk...it woulda been back in 2000...sometime before 9/11...when I was only 10 or 11
hey i work for delta in sju and we get the 767 all the time. my question is, how did you guys unloaded and then loaded the plane?. The only equipment i see around are belt loaders and carts.Where are youre transporters and containers???
Extremely! I fly Delta a lot and let me tell you I always feel safe! I had just recently flow on a 767-400ER from JFK to LHR and back and they were great flights!!
Delta is fine long as you don;t want to fly from DCA to JFK I swear everytime I fly international with this connection they always cancel the flight..
Get rid of the rediculous music!!

I remember flying a Delta 767-200 series in 1992 from Atl to DCA so this is not the first widebody flight to DCA
