@TheFashionbugs It isn't inspired by the 1973 novel. It derives instead from the short piece 'Crash!', which was written in 1968 and included in The Atrocity Exhibition (1970), as well as from Ballard's exhibition of crashed cars at the New Arts Laboratory, London, in 1970.
I was at Walmart once, parked beside a PT Cruiser,It was festooned with ribbon and Shriner's stickers.A blue-gray haired woman(resembling Barbara Bush)slowly exited.Simultaneously she popped her dentures in,with an accidental flash of her granny panties and support hose.In retrospect ,maybe I missed Ballard's point.Or else,it isn't as relevant this side of the pond.
The novel is mind bending in its originality and Ballard certainly deserves to be considered an equal to the likes of Pynchon, McCarthy, DeLillo, Auster and Roth.
Buffoon. This IS sex. Articulated in a psychopathological manner you are clearly too feeble minded to comprehend. Voluminous thanks to the poster of this video - perhaps the closest we will come to the true essence of CRASH.
@vaughanAKA It's definitely a worthy adjunct to crash, but I think that the true essence of "Crash" would be much more explicit and visceral. Maybe a cross (or a 'crash', as it were) between the Cronenberg "Crash" and this.
i wonder what JJ would think of some of the crap today, what would he think of smart car or fiat uno

Some can get very excited in a certain way about 04:48, and especially with also a bit of wheel-capped nip, 08:32. Thanks Gabby, for showing yours.

I hate the manner in which Part Two abruptly ends. Any chance of uploading this as a bit torrent?
