  • Pokeball go!

I wish I had the ability to capture things I wanted by throwing a pokeball at them :[

  • weird elongated snake-like head....

  • Ick, was that an armored catfish? As in the janitorfish/plecostomus type?

  • Holy crap, I don't know, but that thing was still alive!! You can see it blink towards the end. Looks like a species of catfish, and if so, it's not too surprising it was being eaten alive. We left catfish we caught from a stocked pond on land to die and for the animals to consume, and yet a day later the ones who remained were still breathing just fine! Seems they haven't evolved far enough to lose their land lungs :) And these otters are amazing, their purring-coo is so cute heh

  • Giant otters are amazing--look at the size of that cranial box! Lotta stuff going on in that snakey head. I'd give anything to see/interact with one. you're a lucky dog!

  • i heard these are crazy and hunt in packs

  • A great video and wonderful experience, but I'm afraid I've been closer:

I've cuddled a giant otter, and swum with her: I towed her around by her forelegs, and then by her front canines when she decided that would be a better game. Do a web-search for 'Karanambu giant otter' for more details - you might find my GoogleVideo or my account of my trip to Guyana.

  • Great!

  • Now that's close! With feeding action too. Very nice.

  • wow, i love otters
