@FrankieSayRelaxxx1 the Royal Law is the proof that Jesus's message was one of 100% Love/Peace. when he was confronted on the message of the old testament and the 10 commandments, and people were wondering on what to base their lives, he gave them the Royal Law. this was his answer to "at the end of the day, how should we live". he said -- Love your God with all your mind, body and spirt; and Love your neighbor as you Love your self. it dont get any more clearer than that. ppl fucked it up tho

There are few I have ever known who as dishonest as Christians are when it comes to the nature of their bible. We would think that the teachings of an omnibenevolant "God" or "son of God" should at least be coherent, consistent and with flawless morals. Jesus tells his disciples to turn the other cheek, but he also tells them to slay his enemies before him. (Luke 19:27). He says, "Judge not, that ye be not judged" (Mt. 7:1) but Jesus himself judges all his opponents and enemies (usually to eternal torture in Hell) all the time...

And even if I were to grant that Jesus' teachings were perfect, how does that excuse or validate the barbarism of the Old Testament?

That very book which you dismissed the inconsistencies within it because people had 'messed it up'? That is what we none-hypocritical folk call a 'double standard.' @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 and if you go back and read what i said, i never "dismissed" the bible, i just said it has inconsistencies (which is going to be the case 100% of the time when you're dealing with something thats 2000 year old, has changed hands a few times, and has a message that is dangerous to the establishment). that doesnt mean that the whole book is to be thrown away. it just means you need to have a discerning eye, along w/ proper historical context, if youre going to make sense of it.

@FrankieSayRelaxxx1 what you need to understand is i was against religion/ Jesus for the first 20 years of my life. i openly talked shit. i only rediscovered Jesus later on when i was reintroduced to his true teachings through a path called Advaita Vedanta. translated it means "non-duality". these guys had the same message of peace & truth, and they would often quote religious leaders & put their teachings into the proper perspective. this is how i came to start reading stuff from Jesus.

There will be a time when no other galaxies will be visible to us here on earth even with the most powerful telescopes available today. @FrankieSayRelaxxx1 personalities change for all sorts of reasons, whether it be disease or brain injury or just evolving into a diff person with a diff outlook on life. once again, theres no fundamental change to what you are when that takes place. a good metaphor for this would be, the same consciousness that you had when you were a child is still present in you today. ur body has grown, your mind has matured, but that innermost "you" thats perceived all these changes remains intact/unchanged

@FrankieSayRelaxxx1 i never said scientists said that the energy that makes constitutes us disappears. they do however believe in physical death. who experiences this physical death. and dont you dare say "you" becuz u dont even know what "you" is. like i said before, theres a plethora of info on NDE's, & theres peer reviewed journals that say that if it were hypoxia that caused them, then 100% of people would experience them. yet only 18% do. that completely discredits NDE's being physiological
