This is on Laxey beach, in Laxey. If you go onto the beachj and head left it's the first clump of big boulders you come to. Another good spot is at Peel on the next bay round from the prom. Both are tidal venues. I may yet do a topo...
Some sort of guide would be brilliant, was mostly just making it up as we went along as we didnt have any idea of any of the problems, nice range of difficulties as well which is good
Ah so that was your chalk? I was there this morning (boxing day). A nice little spot. I was thinking of doing a little guide to the place, but as a non-local it might be a bit slow coming....
Nice Vid, gave me some new ideas for problems down there, went down there on Christmas eve, lovely weather! This is on Laxey beach, its just not that easy to walk to at high tide but when the tide is out you can just walk along the beach to it, its at the bottom of the steps.
My apologies Kee, You can actually walk round the headland from Laxey to Garwick at a very very low tide possibly only a few times year. You must travel a lot "Boldering" must say never heard of the pastime before, fascinating. Good luck.
Did you go down a narrow metaled road to the beach in Balrine? that is Garwick. If not my apologies, I could have done that keegybo 30years ago. good on yer mate.
After your first post I was confused so had a look at a map (a good IOM map is surprisingly hard to find online). Anyway I found Garwick, which is the next beach along (South). The footage is definitely Laxey beach. Although I did go to Garwick but didn't climb there (and didn't know it was called Garwick). I learn something new every day....
Google Earth has decent images of the whole island (if you're still having trouble finding a good online map)

Really? Didn't realise. Where is Laxey beach then? I thought this was Laxey beach, as it was at Laxey and everyone I spoke to called Laxey beach.
