yes i mean flexion it just looks like he throws the weight, look at 00:17, its an inert mass which forces his elbows to stretch, he cant avoid it at this speed. Surely the body adapt it with the time, probably he will get earlier problems than others.
these balistic execises are dangerous and not to mention idle, the muscles can be more effectively worked through other exercises where you dont bounce the weights and lock your joints. you should post up a disclaimer incase someone drops a weight on themselves after following your example
@NordAlaman hes not working muscles ,hes training his nervous system to be explosive in a sports specific movement pattern. You should know that already if ye were educated in this area
good job, those are some very effective core excersises. :) you need to work on your stance though, it needs to be more relaxed, try putting your back heel on the ground making a walking stance.
@bambong123 By elbow stretching are you talking about flexion or something? Speed comes with risks, but I'm sure he didn't just start jumping into them. If you work up to speed gradually doesn't your body learn to adapt to it?
kettle balls are awesome. normal dumbells isolate individual muscles to make you look good. kettleballs force you to use many different muscles in concert to control them. they give you truly useful strength. if you use them right they REALLY work your forearms!
Keep Up the good work!!These are all great functional Exercises-A few i Havent seen before!Fair play you have a real well laid out gym-is that at home?thanks for posting these informative videos.
BJJ has its place in Martial Arts but not the complete answer to self defense. I wouldn't try rolling on the ground if I have one or two guys coming at me with a knives. The best thing to do is mixing it up - a little of everything. Its good to have knock-out power in your kicks and punches and to know some ground skills. Its also good to keep your shooting skills sharp.
i saw all your videos,u know how to train korrektly, many, even champions does not do it,kause is very tedious, that is y even pros embarrass their self when fighting they do not train with the heart,if u love martial arts should not be a sakrifice, hard training should be enjoyble,if u train konstantly i have no doubt u r a good artist, good videos, pos a video shadow boxing to see your skills,i will post one once i get taper,he he,3 mins have not seen no one doing 3 mins, kan u,i think so,later!!
On all these exercises, the point here is to use a light weight and reverse direction as quickly as possible from lowering to lifting. In a lot of these, there seems to be a pause at the bottom, or an effort to methodically go through a prearranged pattern rather than a focus on explosive, instantaneous force. More traditional movements like the reverse push ups still need to involve more explosive speed and greater resistance to elicit adaptive changes specific for martial arts.
Lol, no i dont work at a fitness store. I work in an office 9-6 and training is the only thing I wish I could do full time. I am by no means a professional but I try to train as much as I can and lead a healthy lifestyle. Hardest part for me is finishing work and then mentally preparing myself to train on my own or in the class. Once I am there its all good though.

Kind of irrelevant I suppose, but what kind of shoes are you wearing? They look really neat and very...flexible.

i can't say something about the effects on the muscles but i know that this stretcheing of elbows aren't good, especially with this speed

Hardly a constructive comment is it? Absolutely nothing to do with the video/training at all. I do train mixed martial arts.

what is that exercise frame called, Kismet? I'm looking for one on ebay but dont know what to search for! lol, exercise frame? rack? d'oh!
icklejez 4 years ago
The exercise frame is a squat rack. This one is from "powerline" I think. The other frame in the back is a cable machine.

how do you do the move on the swiss ball, the one where you push off with one arm?
tips on balance or any easier preparations?
Thanks, great work, hey any new vids? have seen 3 of yours so far.

Hi, do you work at a fitness store? You have soo much equipment!! Do you monitor your diet in order not to get too bulky?
Also when you get days when you don't feel like working-out how do you keep yourself motivated?
Thanks
Great work, very impressive
