Hawaiian guitar it is! (Actually, the guitarist simply used his personal acoustic guitar, plugged into an amp, then got a bottleneck to use for the milky Hawaiian guitar sound over the fretboard.... It was the best we could do at the time... :)

I have no words to describe the beauty of the first movement. I love it!!! This is no the typical beauty we are used to. This is a more sophisticated kind of thing. It flows very freely. I suddenly feel like dancing. Awesome job Shostakovich!!!

Nice job conducting and playing. And I love the sax player's tone! That is a sax back there, yes? Bassoon? Both? It's awfully hard to see. Anyhow, nice job all around.
