I am avidly against animal cruelty but this is not intensely cruel. Awkwardly grabbing a crab with plastic tongs is not hurting it.

Those of you suggesting the entire Japanese nation be tortured because of this game ought to take a look at your local supermarket where a dozen live lobsters are likely smashed together in a tiny tank. If these crabs weren't fed, they wouldn't be able to live in this machine and they certainly have more room to move around than lobsters at a supermarket.
