my PC is so damn slow now its almost useless so i have to take the risk and clean the registry - are there any alternatives? How bout just a fresh install of Windows XP? Id rather do that than lose my data.

when i downloaded a video game for my children it said in my norton security scan scans which update every 5 hours it said my computer has been attacked by a unknown server player but it was defended and i didnt now what to do and when i did full system scan nothing showed up? is there anything i can do to protect myself agains that happening again please mssg me if you can help

you can right click on your tool bar and click on task manger this will open a window saying what programs that are running.

just right click and click end process.

here's what you have to do(if you have personal files you want on your hard drive that's infected):

1. find a computer that has the same type of connectors as your hard drive AND HAS A SECOND connecting port, so you will have the infected drive as a secondary drive.

2. boot up normally with the second computer, and explore the drive(WITHOUT EXECUTING OR COPYING A N Y EXE's) and copy the files you want(only very trusted EXE's or DLL's, media files are fine)

3. reformat infected hdd.

and scan your working computer after connecting the infected hdd with superantispyware and malwarebytes.

AND if you're curious, scan the infected drive before you reformat it.

things to try:

1. right click the 2 computers icon at the bottom right and click repair-this might help if you are on wired OR wireless.

2. if you are on wireless, and you didnt already permanantly connect to a network, the main video on my channel(the second half of it) will show you how to connect to one network each boot.

malwarebytes' and superantispyware display the results after the scan, along with a remove option for anything found. then it asks to reboot.

they're all safe- they're all on cnet. ccleaner is a great temp file cleaner for stuff like cookies.
