I just recently saw Cirque du Soleil for the 1st time too the beginning of this month is Las Vegas. I didn't want the show to end! :( hehe

Luckily, they have half price kiosks around Vegas to we ended up paying 2 for the price of one ticket. But, I'd do it again in heartbeat!

Varekai is awesome! I've seen only a few shows..but that one is by far the best I've seen. BTW it's not worth it to spend money on front row center trust me. Free is good..but not bought, because you spend the night with your neck bent back staring up to see the action up top. My bf and I got an upgrade once, not as big, at Wintuk..The upgrade was given to about 20 visitors. I think they just want you to enjoy the show. I love Cirque du Soleil :)

i went to see this show when they came to Australia a couple of years ago, and we also got VIP tickets and we were in the front row right in the middle. it was an amazing experience. Also a girl that grew up where i lives preforms for Cirque du Soleil as a dancer.

I adore Cirque Du Soleil! Varekai was the first show I saw live [back when it premiered in Montreal on the Pier] It has a special place in my heart. Cirque is just amazing on video, but is truly amazing and magical live. I've seen Alegria, Dralion and Kooza as well, and hope to make it to Las Vegas to see the shows there. I've always wanted to see a Cirque show with Tapis Rouge ["red carpet"] You are so awesomely lucky!

It's great that you got special treatment at the CdS. I've never seen their show even though the founder, Guy Laliberte, is from Quebec. Regarding your stroke of luck, I once had a similar upgrade at a U2 concert here in Montreal. It turns out their set took up more room than they had predicted, and some already sold seats had to be removed. Congratulations on your museum showing. Some of the most beautiful things are on display for everyone to see if one knows where to look.

My family and I saw them in Las Vegas at the Treasure Island Hotel. Their shows are Amazing !! they have 4 different Venues in Las Vegas all at different hotels . The Zumanity is more "naughty" and geared for Adults Only

Lucky! I love Cirque's LOVE show here in Vegas. If you're a big Beatles fan and ever get to go to Vegas, you should see it! I there's actually 7 different Cirque shows but I've only been to 2 of them.. =)

I've seen Varekai twice, in addition to two other Cirque shows and Varekai was by far my favorite. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Quidam is also an AMAZING show. If you ever get a chance to see it, go!

@samaralynn09 Not sure why she doesn't, but I don't like them either. It's a known fact that a lot of the animals are grossly mistreated. They aren't fed well, kept in extremely cramped quarters, constantly on the road traveling in a truck & often beaten by the trainers to get them to do tricks.

If you were an animals living in peace, would you want to be captured and be forced to perform circus tricks while being beaten and living 95% time in the back of a truck??

@Sara01977 well I wasn't aware they treat there animals like that. Im a huge animal rights activist and I always thought circus animals were very neat and they always seem happy. I hope you're wrong no animal deserves to be beaten and underfed and kept in a tiny cage. I've honestly only been to 1 circus and it was when I was a young child. No more circus' for me that's for sure!

@samaralynn09 I don't want to lump all circuses together but undercover people have videotaped the neglect and gross mistreatment of popular circuses such as Barnum & Bailey. I wouldn't want to effect the livelihood of those circuses that are decent, but I'm betting they are few & far between. I would just do some research to see if any coming to your town have any bad history with animal mistreatment before purchasing tickets. Hope that helps!! ☺

I was on tour a few years ago and Quidam was in town as well. We went to their show and then they came to ours......so much fun! We all went out dancing afterwards. The most fun cast member and best dancer was the Fire eater! HAHAHAA ; )

I love Cirque du Soleil! I am actually going to Las Vegas this week with my husband, who is there on business and our big night is going to see their show "O". I saw it over 8 years ago and it has always been my favorite of the 3 shows that I have seen. I cannot wait for my husband to see it!! How wonderful that you got a surprise upgrade! I have always loved Cirque du Soleil for many reasons, one being there are no animals being used for entertainment. Cirque du Soleil is eye-candy and totally makes you feel out of shape ; )

if you liked cirque du soleil you should look into La Clique. I don't know if they will tour again but for the next few month they are in london in a show called La Soirée and I can recommend it so much (i am, in fact, traveling there to see it again)
