Hey Funky Tom can,t say I disagree with your whole statement but I will say this and not to make excuses because I call it as I see it. I love Peter Greens playing and I probably am bias to him but I have seen alot of people lose things in their lives to drugs I have never been into drugs myself my drug has been old cars and music but to say he deserved to lose that guitar maybe yes maybe no I just hope the man gets some peace in his life and his demons go away but I understand your point to
Long live Mr. Green and his beautiful 1959 Les Paul that so much magic was made on. It would be nice but not likely that whoever has his Les Paul since Gary Moore sold it returned it to its magical rightful owner. Thanks for this post and Peter Green is and will always be my musical messiah
I disagree, thejudgeconvertible, Peter deserved to lose that guitar. The way he decided to leave Fleetwood Mac was cruel. Imagine you and five or six of your friends start a business together. You go through hell and back together and finally achieve success. Then imagine the most gifted member of your team and the nucleus of your group suddenly turns into a crazy hippy and decides he not only wants to destroy your career, but wants to destroy his own by giving all his money away. It was karma.
RIP Bob Brunning
