This film is going to be a-fucking-mazing! Or at least, let's hope so.
I'm currently reading through the Bantam Classics collection of Sherlock Holmes stories, just to get familiar with the source material. ;)

I had some serious fears about this movie, but an interview with Robert Downing Jr. in the Wall Street Journal recently shows he was paying attention to the real character of Holmes after all. He researched the part with famous expert Sherlockian Leslie S. Klinger and read all the stories. He says the story emphasizes the friendship with Watson and also Holmes' dedication to doing his best in the solving of the case. I wasn't sure about this movie before but now I hope to really enjoy it.
