  • According to the Bible there is ONLY 1 unforgivable sin in Matthew 12:31. "Blastphemy of the Holy Spirit"..IS the ONLY UNFORGIVABLE SIN. Yet I hear people on here saying that there are sins that will keep you out of heaven???

    The sin unto death does NOT mean "SPIRITUAL DEATH..it is physical death only. It is a death that removes an unrepentant sinner to Heaven early..due to his persistance in sinning while under God's Grace.

    I think you guys have misrepresented the scriptures very badly.

  • @ydnar0591 No, when he says, sin unto death, he means spiritually. Protestanism, makes no sense. One can murder and be saved? This is ridiculous, and illogical. All protestants, don't even agree with anything. You cannot interpret scripture alone.

  • @LxE100 Many of those people who helped write the Bible have murdered someone. Saul or the Apostle Paul........King David's adultry/ murder/cover-up, {he wrote the most Holy Psalms}....... Moses mudered an Egyptian....and on and on. 2 of the heads of the 12 Tribes of Israel were evil muderous men, Simeon & Levi ...Levi of course was of the priestly order of Levites. These people have all been forgiven and will be in Heaven I believe.

    The sin unto death is a mystery, that was IMO.

  • @ydnar0591 If you murder someone, you have to be sorry with all your heart. You basically have to promise God, you'll never do it again, and you need to get to confession. You also have to pay for your sins, whether that is in purgatory, or something on earth.

    To say Moses murdered an Egyptian, is a blatant lie. The Egyptian was beating a jewish slave, and that was right after Moses found out he was Jewish. You can't interpret Scripture alone. Ever. I'd have to look into the others.

  • @LxE100 The Bible says clearly "make NO oaths and promise nothing, let your yes be yes and your NO be NO.

    1st John 1:9 If we confess our sins God is faitful and just to forgive our sins. Jesus paid a high price to justify us before God, to do works to try and clean yourself up is an abomination to God.

    Purgatory? You are putting me on, right? That is an insult to Jesus...the whole idea of purgatory is blatphemus.

  • @ydnar0591 Don't kid yourself. The whole foundation of Protestantism, is based off many embarrassing misinterpretations of Scripture. Purgatory isn't blasphemus. It actually happens to be Biblical. Wath this video to refute your absurd position.

  • @LxE100 I will be 62 years old next month, and I have been doing this for a long time, and it gets to you after a while trying to explain the difference between Christianity & Catholicism.Things as they were understood by the Apostles in the 1st century AD NT Church and the changes that came later, seemingly out of nowhere. The reformation that followed or the "re-forming" of the original Born-Again Church and it's ideals going back to Christ himself. {John 3:3}

    Men can't be trusted ,God can.

  • @LxE100 The basic difference is, "Born Again Christians" believe that God's Word the Bible is the "Final Authority" in all matters of faith concerning the Church, as opposed to the Roman Catholic church who believes that the church it'self {& the Pope} is the "Final Authroity" in all matters of faith concerning the church. This explanation is basically what you will find if you look up the word Evangelical in any encyclopedia.

    {In my particular case the KJV is the only English version I trust.}

  • @LxE100 BTW: Your link does'nt work.

  • @ydnar0591 So who interprets Scripture, without a Church?

    The link works fine. You have to add it to the end of Youtube...

    i.e - Youtube.***/watch?v=XoQKo6YXqCM

  • @LxE100 Jesus tells us regarding interpretation of scripture:

    13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; {but interpret the word} but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

    14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall "shew it unto you". Jesus words will always lineup with GOD"S Word.

    The Holt Spirit's words will always line up with the word of God.

  • @ydnar0591 If that were true, we wouldn't have over 30,000 "Christian" denominations. Without a Church, people are free to interpret by themselves, and as shown, this leads to complete chaos. Your rejection of purgatory proves, that you can't interpret Scripture alone.

  • @LxE100 Exodus2:12,And he looked this way and that way,and when he saw that there was no man ,he SLEW the Egyptian,and hid him in the sand.Moses did kill this man,Was he saved? King David.was he saved? Peter,Who denied Jesus three times of ever knowing him,was he saved?Peter is your first pope was he as Catholics claim?

  • @Restless1Soul Peter denied him out of fear, which still isn't good, but he cried to God for a whole night asking for forgivness. Moses killed the Egyptian out of pure anger, after he saw him striking his brethren. It wasn't the best thing to do, but it was out of anger. He was only saved because he repented, and confessed his sins. This doesn't mean faith alone justifys a man. You need to do great works to make up for your sins, and repent. Mortal sins will damn a man.

  • @LxE100 Yes ,yes and yes.I agree .This doesn't mean faith alone justifys a man. You need to do great works to make up for your sins, and repent. Mortal sins will damn a man.Now look at Ephesians2:8-9.Anything of great works there?I agree on the repenting.But that will not save.Your works,my works will not save,But- see the but part,Bet you hated seeing that didnt you?,How do we PROVE our love for God? Our works.Do we live a Christian life.

  • @Restless1Soul If you do great works and then die with a mortal sin on your soul, you will still be damned. The reason we do works, is to make up for purgatory time. If you die in a state of grace, you will go to purgatory or heaven, depending on the works you have done to please God, and the things you have done which didn't please God. Repenting isn't the only thing either, you must confess to a priest.
