I don't believe Mike had learned this one. Jim almost never plays it, so..Mike may never even had heard it before, being the young whipper snapper he is...lol..
@mountnmonkey Love your music what kind of fiddle do you play the brown fiddle is similar to what im looking for what is it wotth where are you located im near Kingston Ont. Canada
@glendanicol We're in West Virginia, USA. That's Jim playing the fiddle. He has several different fiddles, so I don't know which one this is. He loves and plays them all, and they range in value from a few dollars to several hundred. Some have no name or way of knowing who made them, or when. I do know that one of his favorites is a John Jusic, although I may be spelling the name incorrectly. Thanks for looking in...*ron
another fine job on one of my favorites. it's so nice to hear this kind of music. oh, the memories it brings back. thanks you guys. hope we can all keep this kind of music alive. all the stars. god bless you, margie
Great Job! I always loved this song ever since I heard Ira Louvin play it on the mandolin on the Live at New River Ranch album. I see you all are pickin' in the basement. That's what we used to do before we moved to the kitchen. :-) Good sounding instruments. Thanks for sharing your music.
Hey Brinn, good to see ya. My mail and messaging is a mess...only receiving a small percentage, and I never know what's going to happen when I try to send something...lol..been that way a few days, can't seem to fix it.. Anyway, thanks for coming by..
Hi Ron, Jim is showing his pleasure as usual, and so he should. Guess Mike is sulking and has taken his mandolin home. Sorry Mike. only joking. 5's from me. John. You guys are great.
lol!..I think Mike had only just put it the case to go home, when Jim thought of this old tune. I hadn't heard him play in a few years. he was always reluctant to play it because he doesn't think he doesn't think he plays it well enough...
Hi Melody, you got the names right. Yeah Mike wouldn't help 'cause Jim wouldn't promise to take him to Disney World...lol.....thanks for spending time with us..
Good song - Enjoyed. Why wasn't Mike playing the mandolin? HA! Gwen
