I've noticed it a little too. There was something that had me obsessed when I picked up their CDr at their show in 2005. At least this version of the song seems better than the version they put on the new album. Still not as good as the version with Tim Gregorio.
I agree completely with this statement. Their sound on the new record is more diverse and features more obvious pop structures, but also more intense noise sections. "Weak" is not a word I'd use to describe this band's development.
This song sucks from 7:32 onwards.

"Weak sounded"? What the shit? They don't sound weak at all.
Their new album may sound more focused and may be produced better but it's by no means weak. Still just as loud and intense... if not more.
