"What are our goals?"

Because if it's to create a stable non-corrupt nation then we'll have to be there for decades, which is untenable. They don't want what we're offering.

Instead we should simply tell the Afghan government, "We're leaving. From this point forward it's up to you prevent terrorists from your country, coming over and attacking ours. If you fail, expect our cruise missiles and air strikes in your country. You decide."

A sad day, especially for Afgani women who are treated horribly under this scenario.
