Calling an Italian made western "spaghetti western" is insulting for Italians, it is as if I would coin a term McMovie to define any movie that comes out of Hollywood....do you think Americans would love that?
Whatever term they are called, they are what made westerns for me. If they had been Irish ones and people called them Whiskey Westerns, Drunken Westerns, Paddy Westerns, I wouldn't take such a response to the name.
It's true that "Spagetti Western" originally was a term meant to ridicule the genre since many film critics looked down upon those movies. I ,however, think that since Sergio Leone, Itallian directors were able to use the name with pride.
The song is write by Ennio Morricone and you can find it if you write " Il muccio selvaggio". The film is always " il mio nome è nessuno". VIVA L ITALIAAAAA
I know what "spaghetti westerns" are, moron, but don't like the term, it makes them look ridiculous. Actually the term was conceived by americans to denigrate these european productions (american westerns were at it's lowest point in the 60'). I was created out of jealousy. So I find it irritating when fans like andyeagle1, who really like/love the genre, unconsciously do the same thing.
But Tuldga the term "Spaghetti western" indicates a genre all of its own and is really useful for people like myself who hate the traditional am.western and loves the Italo-spanish-german-co-westerns, just as the german-made westerns from the era sometimes is known as Sauerkraut-westerns =) Long live the spaghetti western-concept!
Please, cold you tell me the name of hte music that begins at 1:28. Thank you.

I'm Italian and I'm not offended. In fact I love it, because the minute you hear Spaghetti Western, you know it is an Italian creation.

why do you keep on calling them "spaghetti westerns"? I found that quite irritating... just call them westerns, that's what they were meant to be!
