  • Been watching several videos.

Thanks for posting so much! I am learning about how to wood turn better as well as new projects I can try.

Today, I'll be making more sawdust. Thanks! -Lee

  • Thanks Lee, Love to see some pictures I'm on facebook and google +

    Take care,

    Carl

  • Thanks Carl.

  • I finally turned my first mushroom and it came out prett good. I'm just waiting on the paste wax to get here. The chuck i bought is a Barr Acuda by PSI. The problem i have with it is that it only grips 3/16" of the wood you put into it. Well the wood likes to fly with the chuck only gripping 3/16" even with the tail stock live center at the other end. It looks like this lathe i bought needs a total rebuild. I think i should just buy a newer one. Any recommendations on a newer Lathe?

    Leonard

  • Hi Leonard,

My Chuck grabs onto about 1/2 inch and hold pretty well most of the time. On the lathe I have good things about Grizzly and they are not to expensive.

    Thanks,

    Carl
