was this the Larks In The Park gig? I think this is the one where McNabb got beaten up by bouncers when he tried to get into the aftershow party. One of their best songs, this one. There's an epic live version on the reissue of the first album.
I saw these guys in Berkeley, California. in a very small club. Absolutely fantastic band! Those really were the good old days ... If they were from the British Isles and had a weird name, I went to see them. Never got proven wrong ....
I lived in Liverpool in the early-mid eighties and I just assumed that music would carry on evolving and improving and that there was nothing that special about the bands I was watching and listening to- WRONG!
Oh man. That's a treasure. What I would do to have witnessed those incredibly talented and original early 80's English Bands. What an exciting time. Thanks for posting. ~G
I really miss this band. The album this song was on was incredible. Then it seemed when they released their next album they fucked with their sound and it was the beginning of the end for this band. What a shame.
Dudes singing, playing a guitar and even working a vintage arp string synthesizer!! Not thats impressive!!!

Why haven't they done this again in the year of culture? They should have bands on in the park again!!!!

I was 13-15 when I was listening to them. People wonder why I'm so choosy about today's trendy bands.

A very fresh-faced Ian proving again what amazing musicians the Icies were.

That's SO great that they're paying homage to their idols, Nirvana.

They don't pay homage to Nirvana. At this time, Kurt Cobain still played domino.
