They only used them when they were on HBO back when they first aired. I wished they did include them when they put them on DVD but they didn't. But maybe they'll release some of the stuff that wasn't ever released before someday.
@AnImmovableObject : That's why they're rare. In truth, ALL of the F5 would each have an opening, but by the time the show went to air, the people involved decided to scrap the Mokey and Red openings (luckily for everyone's favorite attention-seeking redheaded tomboy, her appearances outside of the Rock in which she sings the theme are good enough) and air the Gobo & Wembley openings only once or two, before finally just using Boober for all of them.
The Fraggles are coming back to TV in the US, courtesy of The Hub-- hubworld.com/fraggle-rock/shows/fraggle-rock --every day at 8:30 am ET/7:30 am CT, whilst the comics create new adventures, the forthcoming feature film remains in production development, series DVDs sell like hot cakes, and Red herself is brought out of the rock by her Muppeteer Karen Prell for promotional appearances (ex: Comic Con 2008, Fraggle Holiday 2009, Free Comic Book Day 2010, et al).
Thanks. I never knew if Disney ever aired them with the openings or not. But glad to know they didn't. I guess HBO was the only place unless the Hallmark channel did?
Actually Disney did air the one with Gobo from Finger of Light, but the one with Wembley from the Terrible Tunnell episode was replaced with Boober. Which makes that one even more rare.
Did the Disney Channel have these alternate openings too? If they did i never knew about it. Plus the time they started showing it on Disney Channel i had to start back to school. It always made me mad. Plus i never had any VHS to record only parents. And i never knew how at the time. My sister is the one who showed me way later.
ITV broadcast this, Alas TVS made it but 80 of the tapes are misssing but could be with disney althourgh if the tapes are found then Disney would have to give them up as there Do not own the fraggles in any share, TVS never owned them either !
I belive they did but i don't have a video to prove it either. So really don't know if they did but i've heard that all five fraggles had a little intro.
He does in every episodes but these aired just like this when the episode was on HBO. That's why you don't see Boober. As when they aired theses certaion episodes Gobo, Wembley, Mokey and Red also had a chance to say "Down At Fragg Rock" other then just letting Boober doing it. Pretty neat. Don't you think?
Thanks for the comment. I had never seen this myself even tho i was around during all seasons. Also i've had this for a while on my parents computer from downloading it from a friend who had giving people links to it. But thanks. I'll try and post some other things. Pretty much that' all i have of Fraggle stuff but i do have some other Jim Henson stuff.
Do the Gobo and Wembley openings remain intact on the "Scared Silly" and "Wembley's Egg Surprise" DVDs?

What about Red?
Did she get a chance?
TheCaelanator 6 months ago
The one with Wembley still exists at the end of an HBO promo for "The Terrible Tunnel" on the Season 3 DVD

Cool! And also--hey what the heck? :P I own the first two seasons which include both those episodes and the openings aren't like that.

Grover1234: Of course they all had a chance to say the tagline, because it would not be fair to let all the guys say it and exclude the girls, as:
a) That's not how Jim's organization worked
b) That's not how Fraggles--as characters--behaved
c) Red and Mokey as just as much on equal footing with Gobo, Wembley, and Boober as any other Fraggle in the rock
TherealRNO 2 years ago
mokey and red said it to
