@bonjovigirl2011 I hade long hair and I loved it, and obviously everybody had to say "cut your fucking hair" etc. Eventually I cut it :( WIll propably let it grow long again though.
@bluscorpion ya i know u had to cut for fucking employment . Just like i can't wear vampire teeth at my old work places. you know they said we are free country , but it doesn't feel like it.
lol @ naked boobies, lol,, as for men with long hair, omg yes yes yes,, gotta have something to grab onto, woohoo ridem cowboy's.. In would love to see David Boreanaz with long hair, hot damn,, im all warm and fuzzy,, lol
This may be my favorite section of Tharp's choreography for this movie, but I think it's also the most intrusively anachronistic bit of dance. It doesn't help that the young woman at 0:54 seems to be staring at the aggressively modern dance on stage with an expression that clearly says "WTF?"
I never really understood why the Americans went to Vietnam.. Sure they wanted to prove they could win where the French lost, but still. None of them had anything to do there in the first place...
have you lived under comunism? i supose you not, me yes. the worst regiem for living - no fredom. you shoud know that north vietnamese comunists breached the argement about the border and started to occupate the south vietnam which was comunst free - america funderstood south vietnam needed help and even more USA had to show to cominists they cannot attack and spread as they wished. that is the story.
Remember, the Vietnamese sacrificed 3 million to get rid of the lying murderous US Nazi swine! The Koreans 2 million, the Iraqi's 1 million so far! The Germans BELIEVED Hitler was a good guy telling the truth too - nearly to the end: and some beyond! At least the '60's hippies had the guts to protest & proclaim the truth; unlike the present wimp bunch who would prfer to believe Newt & his swine ilk!
This scene (Checkpoint) is accurate and realistic. I watched this movie when I got back from the Middle East. I froze up, deep thoughts about America.
At check points of the German army they do not even control incoming military vihicles at all. The logic: Every vihicil can leave a base only if it had been checked before (=> Fahrbefehl, roughly translated: "driving order").
Private cars however got always checked when they come in, but (almost) never when they leave.
I had a mess of thoughts during the checkpoint scene. I've been on both sides of a checkpoint. I tend to go with the military side of a checkpoint. The acting MP seemed "unscripted". There's a biography on Treat Williams (Berger) that states his ancestor Robert Treat Paine, as a signatory of the Declaration of Independence. Interesting.
I had 12 guards (Wachen) during my term of service (09/97 - 08/98).
My first was fucking cold Sunday in January, it was also the first day I was holding a G36 rifle. My last one was on a 12th august.
A guard squad has one officer (Wachoffizier), one NCO (Wachhabender) and seven soldiers (conscripts). Two of them are "gate guards" (Torposten) who check the cars etc., four are the two patrol teams, and one is the deputy to the NCO.
