  • actually it is an engine vs. a tender

  • Its not government equipment. The government had no control over fire departments. These trucks probably belong to a volunteer fire department as well.

  • @firefighterE134 Its local or county or state government has control over the fire departments even the volunteer departments. And its the best way to promote the volunteer department by saying we train hard but also know how to play hard.

  • When eventually... they finished.

  • where was this? looks like ive seen this place before

  • Title is worng. It's a fire engine

  • Per MABAS a tanker is an airplane that holds water, a tender is a land vehicle that holds water and does not have a pump generally

  • @merckid35 It depends on what region of the country you're from. In much of the east a tanker and a tender are the same thing, we don't have fire fighting aircraft. And if you look at most fire apparatus manufacturer's ads, they list their trucks as tankers not tenders.

  • If you call for a tanker where im from youll have an air plane headed your way with a whole lot more water

  • sounds like ass napkin ed, Howard stern show lol

  • 37 people got their houses burned down

  • things would get interesting if he were hauling haz-mat come on!

  • I love how the stands are basically empty to watch this crap. Looks like a Browns game.

  • @mayorts3 dude thats like the whole town out there

  • its not called a water truck dumb ass, its called a tanker

  • @MARINECORPS1251 You're actually wrong as well. It's proper term is a "tender."

  • @Snosbod im a volunteer firefighter in training, at the volunteer fire dept im on its called a tanker, says right on the side of our 3600 gallon tanker "tanker 2" lol, here in maine theyre called tankers

  • @Snosbod On the west coast that is.

  • @Snosbod In the east its called a tanker, in the west they call them tenders. the proper term is Tanker. They use that term in the firefighter magazines.

  • @Snosbod thats correct a tanker is technically an air tanker

  • @Snosbod The terms are interchangeable depending on where you are. If you ask for a tender in Ohio, somebodies going to hand you a chicken strip. Same thing with pumper and engine, truck and ladder. It's whatever the regional term is, both are correct.

  • Your voice is so fucking annoying!

  • My money says this is a PRIVATE Fire protection company, so it really doesn't matter UNLESS they are receiving grants from the government.

  • Id sue the city !

  • our tanker is faster than our engine......

  • Respect the fire mans :D:D

  • Water truck had to be full of NOS to pull a 21 with a 60 ft like that.

  • while this is going on, somewhere nearby, a family is trapped in a burning house

  • @69mopar440 more than likely they are there to cover the event. other trucks will cover their zone. besides they may just be spare trucks

  • @Marineinftry that was my attempt at humor. lol

  • @69mopar440 oh okay lol

  • Where is the fire????

  • how do you know those were not privately owned?

  • They were going what....like 40 mph and you still couldn't focus on them?

  • @funwithfire99 Your mpg number is quite off as well. Even if they did get 3 mpg, this is a 1/4 mile so do the math.

  • The Tanker Wins!

  • This is actually a good use. It helps promote the local FD - Especially if it is a volunteer FD. We need all the support we can get.

  • @TXs14 - I guess you believe that bad news is better than no news at all? Bad press is better than no press? I don't care if the trucks were bought and fueled with taxpayer money, federal grant, community donations or a bake sale. It's not ok to put wear and tear on the vehicles and waste fuel to show off at a race track. Bunch of idiots.

  • @funwithfire99 How is it bad news? It definitely isn't. It's funny how ignorant you are. Diesel engines last a long time. Break-in periods in diesels are when gas motors start breaking down. And taking a vehicle to WOT once a day is actually "healthy" for the engine. It's for publicity, not showing off. Like our dept. did a parade the other week...sorry, you're just ignorant.

  • @TXs14 Ignorant??? yes, diesel engines last a long time. However, every engine wears out a little EVERY time you run it. It's called physics, look it up. Placing wear and tear on an apparatus to run it down a track is a waste of the community's money. At 3 mpg on average, you're also wasting fuel for no reason. Parades are also another stupid way of waste money and fuel. I guess you have too much time in your hands. Try running a call every now and then.

  • @funwithfire99 Excuse me, we run plenty of calls. Like I said it's healthy to an engine to be taken to WOT once a day. It helps keep it clean. And how do you know that it's the community's money, huh? You're probably one of those assholes that takes the FD donation off of your tax form. Publicity and FD support is a good thing. You obviously have some issue.

  • @TXs14 I agree. Its always the guy who couldn't conjure up the balls to do the job that hates on us the most.

  • tax payer money hahaha I run with a volunteer fire company the money in the most volunteer companies does not come from the tax payers it comes from the community by us doing fairs cookouts stuff like that so the fire company works for money...tell me if something is different

  • @dobbzy101 - So wasting the community money is OK? Taxpayers or cummunity, the PEOPLE paid for it. I guarantee you they don't want their money used for you to play at a race track

  • attach the siren to a BOV

  • i hear jake brake...sand bagging bastards.

  • Water tanker vs. Engine lol

  • they put their lives on the line everyday.. so you can run your mouth you ungrateful sod. show some respect

  • Dang guess yall screwed tanker gonna get to your house before the pump got the water but now way to put it on the fire haha.

  • siren adds 100hp

  • @deekamikaze Guess the fire truck should have turned his on huh?

  • @disturbedforever- I was a firefighter engineer, they're called tenders, or water tenders....atleast that's what they're called in the fire service. As far as people complaining they're waisting tax payer dollar, fire depts always do things with the community like this to be apart of said community.

  • wow. how is that ammusing? i guess fire fighting enthusiasts enjoy it.

  • there was no way they had water in that tanker it was deff empty

  • @birdsboro7 That tanker prob has a turbo to give it an extra kick. our tankers can get up to speed a whole lot quicker than our engines either full or empty. ours are about that fast too. this video is actually accurate to their speeds

  • someone's got a jake brake!

  • ...now to stop the full, dead-weight tanker w/o drag-chutes!

  • No burnout?? =)

  • i never though id see the day fire trucks raced each other

  • was that a sonic boom at 0:48

  • @glock287 Sounds like jake brakes to me.

  • Woohoo water trucks are so much better than crappy fire trucks! So much faster in the 1/4 mile, and that's what really matters :)

  • @malkowskitube I don't think there was any water in it...

  • @malkowskitube water truck? You mean a Tanker? And I didn't see a fire truck in that race, I saw an Engine and a Tanker.

  • @funwithfire99 I have no idea what either are, I was messing with the people arguing what's the better vehicle in the race, like it really matters. It's like having a 100m dash for 400 pound diabetics, and arguing who is faster.

  • just to let you know firetrucks are not government equipment unless it's a military one. i run volunteer and we have to raise money for our trucks and equipment

  • @windsorfirefighter37 I'm fairly certain thats only volunteer. my wichita city taxes pay for wichita fire dept equipment...which includes their trucks...and its like this in many cities...sorry if you live in an unincorporated area and don't realize municipalities aren't ran the same as podunk back hill parts of the sticks

  • @windsorfirefighter37 Huh? You're confused....Isn't your volunteer corporation a part of your Local Government??? Follow your chain of command to the top and you'll see that your fire chief probably have to answer to the Mayor or someone like it. Just because you have to raise the money to buy it, doesn't mean that the citizens that gave you the money want to see you wasting it.

  • @funwithfire99 lots of people privately own and donate trucks to cities. You are really not as intelligent as you think. I know 3 people who own fire trucks personally.

  • @pipersmitty87 Now you idiots are changing your story and saying it's privately owned. This is AFTER you all said it's ok for a dept to do it for PR or to "exercise" the engines. Which is it? Stop making excuses and wasting tax payer money. Most of you probably joined just for the t-shirt anyway. Go back to selling cookies and organizing bingo games.

  • @funwithfire99 changed story? not sure wtf you are talking about tht was my first post. Who is the idiot? Come to cleveland and see if you can hang in a real fire.

  • im sry but did i just see the fire truck lose to water truck... WITH A HEAD START!!!!

  • @chroniclesoagm the "fire engine" weighs more then that "tender". and for all we know is not putting out as many horses as the tender, they have a timed diffrence light for a reason

  • Who the hell races a firetruck anyway? I'd rather be home sleeping. They might as well start racing lawn equpment.

  • @EMTCountyMounty380 nope haha :) its just a legitimate observation

  • im gay

  • does the siren make it go faster? :)

  • @chnyryn16 Maybe

  • those aren't government vehicles, the government funds money right into their own pockets, spending money on emergency response vehicles is a waste of money in their minds, maybe if those greedy politicians emptied their pockets from time to time your country wouldn't be 14 trillion dollars in debt, i mean 1 trillion = 1000 billion, and you owe most of it to china lol.

  • this is stupid

  • if you were a real redneck you wouldnt talk shit youd be cheering them on

  • If Our department sat up at the strip all weekend, and the worst we did was run the trucks, I think Chief would be disappointed or think something was wrong. Most likely the track made a big donation to get them out there in the first place.

  • Rednecks will drag race anything

  • lol, the tanker was prolly empty.... gave the engine a head start

  • ATTENTION YOUTUBERS!!! when there's a fire call the water truck and not the fire department! lmfao jk jk bad joke! call em both

  • LOL This here is government property!

  • What...no burn out to heat the tires?

  • hello

  • Did you seriously say "Rock Mountain Cummins Truck Fest" for every single video?! WHY?!!

  • 0:07 "Seven miles per hour" guy must of been haulin' ass

  • excellent. the water will be onsite long before the hoses and men to run them.

  • @CerebrumPedere it was probably empty...

  • What would happen if one of this gets on fire?

  • @fer856856 they put it out witht he other one... dumbass

  • How does anyone know these trucks are out of district. In my town when we have events like drags the fire dept and life squad are on scene from start to finish. Also if this is a volunteer FD they aint gettin paid for this. Let them have some fun ya up tight ass wipes.

  • The guy video taping needs to shut up before he makes a bigger ass out of himself.

  • @RebeltilliDie45 lol i think it was the 2 trucks lining up

  • @RebeltilliDie45 The announcer had a mean bean burrito and was a little flatulant . lol!

  • that sucked

  • tanker vs pumper/fire engine

  • your mouth and your camera suck !!!

  • you dont get more redneck than this shit!!!

  • Whats funny is he starts everyone of his videos out the same

  • Why the hell would you drag a fire truck?

  • @racedriver52 why not?

  • water always beats fire

  • Not to be mean or rude but they are not run by government! I am on one! We have to raise money...fundraisers....but we do get some grants.

  • @Erin44Nicole Though, not as many grants as we'd like.

  • @Erin44Nicole !!! Not many people know that. !!!

  • @Erin44Nicole

very true, i am a Fire Fighter in Illinois. The government doesn't do a thing for us, almost all our income comes from Breakfasts that we put on once a month and donations.

  • @Erin44Nicole So this is how the Rednecks Waste TaxPayer money huh?

  • 1st one to the donut house buys the winner lunch

  • it not government unless its a payed fire station

  • @acboy40 What makes you think a volunteer fire department isn't run by a government? It could be a small city, a township or a county fire department that is vollie. The majority of volunteer fire departments are controled by some sort of governing body and payed for by taxpayers.

  • because retard i am in a volunteer fire department want to keep going because we are deffenatly not funded by the states we have to raise all the money trust me we just got a new truck and we had to earn all of that money to buy it no money by the state whats so ever dont believe me watch my vids

  • @mondo78 nah your wrong. the government wants as little to do with vollie companies as possible. alot of places dont even get funding. its all fundraisers done voluntarily by the firefighters.

  • @hlandscaping17 I am wrong. Your tellilng me, a person who has spent the last 30 years as a volunteer firefighter. While there may be a lot of departments that recieve no funding from and organized government, I still stand on my post that the majority of volunteer departments are funded and controled through some sort of governmental body. If they recieve tax money there has to be some sort of governing board.

  • @acboy40 Man that is not true for all volunteer departments. Here in my county we have 2 different departments. One is the Jackson fire dept (city) which is 100% payed which I work for. The other is the Madison county fire. All volunteer. The county government is responsible for buying all equipment and trucks. I will give it to them, they have some nice equipment too. lol

  • what the speed 50 mph

they looked kind of slow man.

  • I would love to see our city fire trucks race just to hear the sound of the 8V 92 Detroit screaming.

  • Government equipment? I would say there city or twp. trucks. They may even be retired trucks, out of service.

  • hmm water tankers are'nt very fast in genral, let alone racing agenst other stuff

  • the "fire truck" is a Fire Engine, and the "fire water truck" is a Tanker, just an fyi

  • @Dauphinpilot Depends on what the fire water truck is being used for. If it's on a wildland fire, you call it a "tender", a "tanker" is a fixed winged aircraft that drops water, foam, or gel on the fire.

  • @OneSkiWonder Are you on the westcoast?

  • @larrytrip03 I don't live there, but I've been there several times.

  • Comment removed

  • @Dauphinpilot thank you so much for that i would have never figured it out. o and fyi... your an idiot!

  • @Dauphinpilot Yea we're not all Fireman, Anything big red and has lots of sirens and lights is a fire truck always has been to me and everyone I know, you should leave you technical comments to yourself "FYI". Everyone that liked that comment is a tard and felt better about themselves for agreeing that someone else was dumber they they are.

  • @Dauphinpilot or a tender haha

  • @Dauphinpilot not to be a dick but that "tanker," is technically a "tender." just fyi

  • @aosborne678 One question. What part of the country are you from? The reason I ask is to say yes it is a tender, But he is a correct about it being a tanker too. Some call it tenders, more so in the western states simply because if you ask for a tanker you will receive a plane. And here in the Eastern states most tend to call it a tanker. Just thought I would share that. Oh I'm not trying to be a smart ass.

  • @larrytrip03 i gotcha lol, I am a firefighter in indiana and we do call our tanker a tanker but i have heard that the technical term is a tender so i thought i would chime in... thanks though i appreciate it

  • @Dauphinpilot water tender.

  • @Dauphinpilot Actually, the "Fire Engine" its an ETA, Engine Tanker Apparatus, just an fyi

  • @i4sale4 Actually it's not because the tanker doesn't have a pump on it, therefore it's just a Tanker.

  • @Rage2552 ? tankers can have pumps in fact ours does what makes it a tanker is that it's used like a hydrant or with a supply to supply water to remote locations with no alternative water sources

  • @22bb11aa33cc If it has a pump it's technically a pumper-tanker. But that's just technically speaking.

  • @Dauphinpilot fyi ur a herb

  • @Dauphinpilot Water tankers have wings. It's a water tender.

  • @esecompany Water Bombers have wings, or Airtankers.. Tanker trucks are known as such

  • @DisturbedForever92 Assuming you are in the US, that is incorrect. NIMS has that all lined out for us. Semantics anyway, it really doesn't matter. You must be east of the Mississippi. Easterners don't really seem to conform to the newer terminology real well. (not that, it's a bad thing.)

  • Good use of Tax dollars? I highly doubt these guys or truck are in service, and seeing how this appears to be in the middle of butt-fuck-now-where, I'm guessing they're volunteer. In short, you people pay for us to be ON duty, not to have fun!! If they aren't on duty, you ain't paying for shit!

I would love to see exactly what you would rather see tax dollars go towards, probably a plastic fuck doll. Or a dildo so you can go fuck yourself.

  • i would seriously get bored of this in 5 mins

  • @robertgift Most of the drag strips have local fire departments come to the track on race days to be there in case of an emergency. As far as everyone screaming about tax dollars you need to go harp on the welfare moms and the deadbeats who can work but instead draw disability . It's good to see the fire department getting out and doing things together because when your on a dept. It's not just being coworkers it's a brotherhood like no other you wouldn't understand unless you've been a part of

  • @kyredneck0406 yeah it really is my dad even plays COD: black ops with the people at his station, and they sometimes have stations compete against each other

  • @kyredneck0406 Yes, the welfare bitches popping bastards for more welfare money is disgusting.

Doesn't justify this cost and wear and tear.

  • BTW dipshit, the "water truck" is called a tanker and the one is called an engine. So that would an Engine truck and a tanker. And why make fun of these guys? Im on a volunteer fire department here in my home town and it pisses me off when some jackass will sit there and talk smack about fire-fighters. And Im glad I saw this video. Its good to see fire-fighters having fun!

  • @tripovermyego The water truck is called a TENDER. Tanker refers to aircraft.

The public did not pay for these trucks to be out of district and unavailable and have this needless wear and tear on the apparatus.

What did they do with the water in the tender? Drain all 2,500 gallons of it?

    New water is costly, too.

  • @robertgift Umm, no. Where I come from, they are called tankers. Ive never heard of aircraft being called a tanker and I was in the military!!! ANd let these guys have fun! If their trucks break down as a result, its not your concern! I think its cool that fellow fire fighters get to go out and have fun! And would you say its costly to put fire trucks in parades? Or how about EMTs that drive their ambulances around "incase of a call"?

  • @tripovermyego Aircraftanker and truck is tender.

Parades are not stressing the apparatus and are seen by many more citizens, not justhose who attend race tracks.

Ambulanceshould not "patrol". Needless waste of expensive fuel and wear and tear and pollution.

Traveling from quarters on usual response routes lessens chance of collisions with otheresponding vehicles.

  • @robertgift And just driving them puts stress on any vehicle. And driving them down that track isnt gonna hurt them anymore than responding to a call. That reason is because these trucks are designed to drive fast(well fast for their size and weight) to a scene. Dude, just sit down and shut up. Let these guys have fun on and off the tracks, on and off duty. Maybe the city they are from paid to watch them race down the track? Oh, BTW to answer you about the water, I think the truck still has it

  • @tripovermyego Needlesstresses. Apparatus out of district. Expensive fuel burned, pollution, vehicle wear and tear.

As a taxpayer, I do not want my expensivequipment used for not what it is intended.

There are all kinds of other way that firefighters can get their jollies. (I would be angry if I missed a fire call because of some pointless race.)

  • @tripovermyego not trying to start nothing with you, but last time i was out at wrightpatt everyone was calling the refueling jets, tankers.

  • @jonnyvonde Well maybe its a nickname the guys gave those birds but Ive always known them as birds. These types of trucks are called Tankers because thats what they have on them. A tank. Just like big rigs that haul fuel, water, etc are also called tankers but thats just a nickname. You get on our radios and say bring that tender and everyone is gonna look at you like your stupid! Say We need Tanker 1, guess what they will send? Ill give ya a min............They are gonna send Tanker 1.

  • @tripovermyego We use correcterms because fire service may interface with aircraft in fighting wildland fires. Tender for truck tank and Tanker for aircraft.

  • @robertgift Wow dude. You really have a hardon to prove to me over youtube that you are this perfect man who "considers suing himself" but yet you cant type right. But whatever. Im sure those trucks arent the only ones in that house that respond to calls. But its cool. Im not going to argue with you over this. You give meds. You call tankers "tenders" and i call them "tankers" Maybe Im wrong and your right. Im just an idiot on youtube. Have a great day!

  • @tripovermyego Ha ha. I savelectronic ink. You are correct. Those apparatus aren'the only ones. But if a second alarm is called, or they arequested for mutual aid, it may mean a longeresponse. (Or they may be closer to where needed!) Due to fuel costs, wear and tear and pollution, apparatushould be driven as little as possible.

  • @robertgift Im sure these trucks were called in as out of service. Or they may be the trucks that were called to be on scene at the track. Who knows. These guys are just having fun. thats all. Let me have fun

  • @tripovermyego no need to get smart with me man, thats just what we refered to them as on the strip

  • @jonnyvonde I didnt mean to get smart with you. I didnt even realize that it was you that posted that comment. I thought it was that robertgift dude. Im sorry

  • @jonnyvonde Correct. Aircraftankers. Tank trucks - tenders. We have a 2,500-gallon 6WD tender.

  • you, sir, are a tool.

  • Only rednecks does this when all the top fuels that runs on grain and oil have blown

  • there's a goverment equipment!

  • Its funny how this guy wants to be a Partner and he is bagging and talking shit about fire fighters and shit. HMM Its gonna be funny when you need a Fire Fighter or A Perimedic you ass wipe! Just show the EMT's and Fire Fighters this video and see if they wanna help you.
