  • any1 know how well wing chun punching would be because i want to train mma but was wondering how well wing chun punching would be because the punching and blocking stance is quiet different to what mma teaches in general. any help would be greatly appreciated and if you have any ideas of what styles i should try. thank you

  • ken vs kimo ufc 48.

  • would you aim the knee to the chin or the nose?

  • @ruper31

Chin, however often the knee will slip past the chin and clip the nose, causing some nasty breakages and potential cuts.. Or if you're lucky it'll connect with their forehead / temple and potentially end the fight then and there, and in Kazuyuki Fujita's case, put you into a mini-coma.

  • if you keep replaying 1:33 that shit is hilarious. That moment was just too gay. Frank Shamrock is cool though very humble guy.

  • Anytime bone hits something soft bad news.

    LMAO!

  • badass

  • ah... arent knees made of cartilidge?

  • nope, knee cap is solid bone with skeletal muscle and the cushioning between the joints are cartilidge if I'm not mistaken. I'm going study of the skeletal system I did in the 6th grade so feel free to call me out.

  • I'm pretty sure that the cushioning between the joints are tendons, and they're actually not cushioning in most cases but are primarily used to keep the muscle attached to the joint, allowing it to move.

Simply because the knee cap does not support or move or protect anything important, I'm pretty sure it is not a bone. Cartilidge is mostly used for flexible but hard parts of the body, such as the ears or the nose. Not sure what purpose they have though. Maybe protection of weaker vessels?

  • @xXRosenroTxXxBabezXx the cushioning between the joints is cartilage. tendons attach muscles to bones. ligments attach bones to bones forming our joints.

the knee cap (which is made of bone) protects the cruciate ligaments in the knee.

  • @xXRosenroTxXxBabezXx Cartilage are at the end of bones too, they just keep the bones from rubbing together. So they are actually included in joints.... just to keep the bones from rubbing together while the tendons or ligaments or w.e helps the joint to flex. There are different types of cartilage.... There's cartilage in your nose and ears like you said and there's also discs of harder cartilage between the vertebrae in your back and other joints

  • @FightingKami i understood about 3 and a half percent of that. :)

  • very good

  • That's why you can't get hit in this region..exspecially with something hard. LOL

  • either way if this guy was to knee me in a hard spot or a soft spot, id still be scared as hell.

  • yeah MMA !!!

  • lol "yeah man! knee him everywhere!"

  • Go Shammy! :D

  • That guy is scary for sure!!!!
