Talking about cult wines, I wonder if you've ever got down with some screaming eagle? The cult wines from CA often have a rep for being super extracted, super over-the-top... Screaming Eagle is the king of cult... I've only tasted the '93, in about 2006, but it was surprisingly restrained.

If I ever hear anyone use the words 'sniffy-sniff' in person, I swear I will immediately punch them in the face. Add 'fakey-fake' to that. Cute that he can't decide if it's supposed to be pronounced dalla vall-AY or dalla VAL. I've always gone with the first, but don't really know. I agree with what he says about tiring wine, 'two glasses max...' I can't stand Pahlmeyer for that reason; Inarguably a well-made wine, but not for me. Just tiring.

I think i should watch this more on tv.winelibrary instead because the quality is better and the commentators are there.
