  • bom de mais tempo bom

  • This was the first cassette from Orbital that I bought. Before this track I was listening to "Ruff in the jungle business " from Prodigy and still had the melody in my head when this track started. I thought the melody was the same :)

  • still as sweet as the first day i heard it..............stunning

  • nosssaa esaaa foiiiiii du karaiooo..epocaa boaa q cabulava na escolaa e colavaa moll bancaa na Warrior, V.buenos aires/Cangaibaa...Goulart em pesoo....Zona Leste somos NoiZ..SP

  • still awesome after..what is now?...nearly twenty years

  • bend me over and call me dorothy or sally, or geoff or jermaine i really dont mine i just need a rootin tootin good time y'o

  • This is music eternal

  • It's Wim Mertens, Michael Nyman, Philip Glass, Gavin Bryars all sharing a bong in the Kraftwerk museum...if only there was such a museum.........I'd pay good money to go to that....

  • @densy88 you should try 6 Pianos by Steve Reich. It's six pianos that start playing the same rythym and twist in and out of each other for about half an hour. I'm a huge Orbital fan but 6 pianos predates and is way better than this.

  • muito foda esta musica....

meus vizinhos reclaman do barulho do meu radio e perguntam menino que barulho é esse?

isso è underground porraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa......... emusic 4ver

  • what genre would u say this is?? i want to find more songs with this kind of 3D piano in it :)))

  • @densy88 Well, it's definitely "electronic"...beyond that, good luck, there's only about 1293922 sub-genres of Electronic music.

  • Ugh, I stumbled upon this whilst listening to my Snivilisation cd for the first time in years and had to find somewhere to gripe about it. It has to be one of the most boring tracks Orbital have ever done. Why the hell did they have to eke it out for over 9 minutes? Padding maybe. It's nice at 02:52, then it goes back to that tedious piano playing for another small eternity.

  • @rob16248 you know what rob15829482398548? I don't give a toss what you think.

  • @jedimaster303 Well put and he may as well toss off elsewhere. Slam this great tune... Blasphemy!

  • @frickfracked totally! =]

  • @rob16248 Me and my *ahem* altered mind (you might say), beg to differ.

  • The phrase means 'No drinkable water'.

  • @gordbard52 Perhaps better to say "not drinking water"... :-)

  • one word. tremendous.

  • actually "Trinkwasser" is written together ... it means Water not for drinking in German

  • @S3iF3 Trinkwasser means drinkable water

  • @Serpico261 I didn´t know the english word and i meant "Water for drinking" but I was too lazy to correct it

  • @S3iF3 or "no drinking water" for that matter

  • If you love this track youtube 'Terry Riley' and/or 'Steve Reich'

  • yes

  • Thesis - antithesis - synthesis. Lovely.

  • The opening progression is very Reichian

  • havent heard this one in years,

    what a gem

  • The opening piano section on this track rivals the opening of the Orb's 'Oxbow Lakes' for sheer compositional excellence, IMO. This IS a really fine piece of music. :)

  • this warms my cockles

  • Seminal

  • sensacional

  • wow this is a good song. electronic music created by someone who clearly understands music composition.

  • Lokassaaaaa!!!!!!!!!

  • Essa música é sensacional!!!!

  • Hehe, I'm sure most of you won't wanna hear this, but... 'Jamie's Dream School' brought me here, and I love this song so much; you wouldn't believe :D

  • @SuperCherry3000 I heard this song on that program, while I was listening to it :D

  • hu

  • snivilisation is truly a masterpiece of work . considering it to be 17 yrs old it still feels ahead of it's time!!!.

  • @scraggydappydoo when ever the subject of the best album of the 90's comes up it is Sniv that springs to mind. (Actually what you say is interesting- this album is so of it's time yet so timeless...)

  • memories

  • I always used to fall asleep by the time I got to this tune, then BAM Quality Seconds would kick in and scare the shit out of me.

  • That is a Walkman in the picture, a piece of history.

This still sounds so out of the wrapper fresh.

  • My second favorite song by Orbital. Very original! The Box is my all time favorite of the Hartnolls...!

  • Ich will sie doch nur ein einziges mal Live sehen.

  • Ah still sounds riche after all these years. When I first heard this way back when I remember gasping outloud when that lush fat electro bass kicks in, sweet relief. Still sounds awesome now.

  • 1977 Capitol Kraftwerk TEE "Franz Schubert" song comes to mind.

  • shitty track

  • @northregent Ahaha... Ha..Aha...ha... Don't be silly no one can dislike this track. You sir! Lie!

  • @northregent <<<<<<<<<< moron

  • @eleven38 it sounds like some kid went into the studio and started playing with the piano. orbital's only good album is the brown album.

  • @northregent << ur a complete retard, go back to listening prodigy

  • @eleven38 Liam Howlett is actually a really clever guy... not to be taken lightly.

  • @togusa75 wtf u talking about? liam is from prodigy not orbital idiot

  • @eleven38 I know it, genius. It was you who said "ur a complete retard, go back to listening prodigy" - like listening to Prodigy is something to be ashamed of - and I replied that Liam and his music, is at the same level of Orbital in their own respective genre. And btw, I don't see the reason to give names like "idiot" and "retard" to other people so easily, when you're clearly incapable of writing a full sentence with correct punctuation and grammar.

  • @togusa75 yeah prodigy are on same level as orbital, DUMBEST COMMENT EVER!!

  • @eleven38 "Rule 14"

  • where have I just been!?!

  • Comment removed

  • lol

  • @ min. 2.53....BOOM...W.T.F.? ........CLASS!

  • Lovely...

  • Superb track, part of my early 90's set, this into Underworld - Cowgirl - mixin it up!

  • The Golden Age of Orbital,Juno Reactor and Aphex twin gave the world great music.I am so happy i got to see Orbital twice.

  • I was expecting something nearer to Dwr Budr than Beethoven's Waldstein Sonata. (Especially given the title.)

    Not a complaint though!

  • got to appreciate classical music when it's blended with techno

  • my favorite orbital song.

  • Beautiful

  • Kein Trinkwasser is German and means ' No Drink Water' Kein = No , Trinkwasser = Drink Water

  • someone's probably already said, but i cbb to look, what does kein trink wasser mean?

  • walnut wipps and people falling in rivers... them were the days.

  • The piano track in this is dope as hell. Not many spins can get away with it. Orbital never disappoints, man.

  • moby's been known to pull a lot of piano in his songs, "next is the E" for example, but this just goes beyond expectation.

  • this is a belting track speshly after 9/10 spliffs on the big speakers

  • Comment removed

  • stunning track - not heard this in sooooo many years!

  • Brilliant track. Always remember my mate saying he nearly cried when he first played it in his room but then suddenly found himself punching the air to the track that follows this one: 'Quality Seconds'. Genius album.

  • yes those were some quality seconds, orbital doing deathmetal or something to the effect

  • What a crazy name for a song?

  • youve seen nothing.. there is a song on this album named "I Wish I Had Duck Feet"

It begins with a sound that can be described as sound of something being deepfried

  • A mixture of happy and sad with this one. Those times have gone, along with some of the people (RIP).

  • need a good e for this the pills you get now are garbage lol

  • this album is a fucking classic fucking always loved Orbital trully original trully inspired and fucking timeless

  • this album is fucking cack compared to the first 2. This is probably the only track i liked on it. This signalled a decline only stemmed with the blue album in my opinion. Early Orbital were groundbreaking and mesmerising, they lost their way. Saw them in manchester recently, were back to near perfection.

  • Of course these things are all a matter of taste and perception but I genuinely believe you've got that severely wrong. Sniv is the most underated of their albums by the casual fans. It came after the dance and beats fest that was the Brown album, and is not as accessable at the first two in that regard. This was the sesmic shift away from the rave and dance scene and proved P+P were more than just a one trick pony.

  • that is what I enjoy about electronic music, you don't have to dress up as a raver to enjoy it. If the song is complex enough you can lay back in an oxford button down in a cafe somewhere (or anywhere for that matter) and just relax...

    ahh braindance

  • This also proved that electronica was more that just a hedonistic knees-up and could put as much meaning into the tunes as any worthy word-smith.

  • i'm not too bothered their music always takes me too a nice place

  • ur entitled to ur opinion, but i totally disagree. in fact, i think this album was probably the height of their creativity in a sense. their first was groundbreaking for it's time, but listening to it from today's perspective probably causes it to lose some of that effect. their second album was epic from any perspective, and i feel that Sniv was a continuation of that epicness. the next LP after that was In Sides, which is the peak of their commercial success. after that, it was all downhill

  • this song gave an emotional farewell to techno because it all rolled downhill from here, never again to be as brilliant or as burning.

  • mate nobody was or will ever be as good as orbital your ma matey son

  • wicked mix

  • I first heard this at Kumharas, Ibiza, as the sun was going down. I may well have cried.

  • This is of the best tracks the bros have done, love it, pure bliss and puts a smile on your face.

  • No way! Deeper by far. Focus your attention on a spot! Now that is pure class

  • its one of those tracks that if u stick with its "mozart" TRIp it has a very nice payoff :)

  • Amazing memories

  • 5:30 perfect blend.

  • its my steampunk theme-song! Yay for Orbital!

  • amazing but insides was a better album

  • A spectacular song from the album for me which has stood the test of time the most from Orbital.

  • I second your opinion.

  • i feel like building a mansion:D

  • omg u got that feeling too!!! thats friggin gr8!

  • I like the way the piano is being played. I like it.

  • why it has an german title :D

i am german and i can say you ..that´s not right german,so maybe it has a menaing :)?

  • it means 'no drinking water'

  • Huh. For years I thought it meant "Must Use Subwoofer"...

  • Fucking hilarious!

  • Hahahaha

  • @calisheephead i much prefer your translation :)

  • no - they're german is as good as your english.... "i can say you" should be "I can tell you"... Does that answer your question??? lol!!!

  • love the changeover at 3:00...

  • Quality album some of their best work.if anyone wants copy PM me.

  • so what does kein trink wasser mean?

  • The direct translation is, "No drink water".

  • @garghamell

it means Non Drinkable Water, as in: water unfit for consumption.

  • @garghamell "no drinking water"

  • @garghamell it was direct reaction to water pollution.

  • It makes me smile !!

  • i love how orbital takes the music in such unpredictable ways. it kind of jars you at first i think but then the songs grow on you and the structure works in its own right.

  • I agree! with many of their songs, I didnt like them at first, and then grew to like them in their own way :)

  • i new it when i heard it,you gotta love this one ya know what i mean

  • I have the original cd and this is a perfect song. 5 Stars!!

  • by far the best Orbital album ever, KTW, Are We Here? and Attached are absolutely awesome tracks, Hartnoll brothers at their very best

  • How could you leave out 'Girl with the Sun in her Head?'

  • Nothing left out m8. It is the playlist of the "Snivilisation" album. "Girl with the sun in her head" is from "In Sides" my most favourite work of them.

  • muito loka antigona

  • Thanks for putting this up. I think it's their best work, and possibly the best piece of music from that whole year. I remember seeing them do it "live", wondering WTF they were actually doing up there, two pairs of lit-up glasses bobbing up and down in the darkness, as I totally lost my shit...
