@FalkenTube yes $55 million is a bargain to watch a sport that u will never hear of again outside of two weeks every 4 years. no one gives a crap, and for good reason. It's called amateur athletics, but these ppl do it rather more than full time job. the definition of amateur is someone who plays for pleasure rather than money... but then expects the government to fork over millions to them? thats ludicrous
That's not the point. It's not a Con or Lib thing - they're all the same! Besides, the Cons are really Alliance/Libs, and the Libs are Cons and the NDP are libs. Arggh.
You said it best. Once the flame goes out, the money stops flowing. It's a real shame, we did great, maybe if SOME people who have their hand on the tap, and just turned it off, can think ahead, `bout 5+ years and at least trickle down, if not pouring it
