  • When I realized that the Sheriff and the Pimp were the same actor, my goddam head exploded. THAT'S Acting.

  • Just heard Kevin Smith talk about this guy on the Joe Rogan podcast, and he is everything they said! Awesomeness

  • @lickmyfart haha Same, after watching Red State I knew this was michael parks.

  • Best scene in both movies.

Hey! Somebody get Michael Parks an oscar!

  • Dos X guys brother

  • i love the way she arrives, she's so stunning among the mexican whores and i love the way she talks to esteban, hiding her disgust

  • one of the best performances in the film

  • Played by Michael Parks, the same actor who played the sheriff in the first Kill Bill

  • This was a killer performance by Michael Parks, but all the same, I kind of wish it had been performed by Ricardo Montalban as originally intended. It would've been an awesome last performance opportunity for him. But something fell through. You can see however, if you're familiar with Montalban, how this part seems totally written for him.

  • Outstanding.

Something tells me he isn't very susceptible to flattery.

    SPOILER

(I suspect he expects Bill to kill her dead this time. Ah, but he's unaware of Beatrix's mastery of the five-point-palm exploding heart technique.)

  • I whispered "I must warn you, young lady, I am susceptible to flattery" into my girls ear, a girl I was trying to hook up with, and... It worked like a charm :) We were gettin it on just 5 minutes after that :)

  • that guys got a bad ass voice

  • Brilliant performance by him. He's like delirioulsy erotic throughout, sighing and hmmming. Perfect.

  • I don't always drink beer, but when I do, I prefer Dos Equis... stay thirsty my friends.

  • @PinoyShuffle lol

  • One of the best actor performances I've ever seen ...

  • Maybe he cut her face?

  • How may i be aservice to you... thats to cool to be fair...

  • Why was the girls lips cut?

  • That was sure nice of Courtney Love to make a cameo in this movie. She is looking so much better!

  • How can he do that accent? Im spanish and i always thought he was a real mexican...

  • love the way she replies: hello est.e.ban :)

  • This guy makes me wanna take drugs.

  • when i meet a women i hope her name is llaannnngghh!

  • this is seriously such a brilliant scene. His acting, his accent....just superb!!

  • Wrong. She should've cut his legs of first.

  • being a fool for a woman such as yourself is always the right thing to do

  • HE NEVER FRIGGIN BLINKS. He almost gets there but they never fully close. Now its all you can see and its going to drive you nuts.

  • Great performance great actor

  • Michael Parks is a genius, he showed so much range with these movies, like he's unrecognizable in this role!

  • the opening gives me goosebumps.

  • "Road to sallina"? Wait wasn't that a movie? o.O Ya know...With Pink Floyd and shit? =O

  • What a wonderful performance; and SO funny too!

  • I love how his accent is not just "stock spanish man", but authentically Cuban-sounding. You can tell it's a man from Cuba who learned English. idk, I just love it when actors get their specifics right.

  • @poeticjournalism Don't know if you know this, but he also p[played the sheriff in the wedding aftermath scene.

  • @fuloran1 yep, already knew that :) pretty amazing how diverse one actor can be in the same movie

  • I watch Part 1 and Part 2 immediately after and I did not click that this actor played 2 completely different parts in each film. Michael Parks is surely one of the most underrated actors going. In this scene especially he takes my complete attention. I love how he plays Esteban to be quite sleazy (with the winks), but also he's incredibly charming. How many actors could do unpleasant and curiously pleasant at the same time?

  • the most interesting man in the world lol

  • 6 people didnt get a good deal from Esteban's

  • Where's Beeeel? ahhhhh hmmm

  • HE IS SO AWESOME!

  • this boy was a fool for blondes

  • i love him....even though he's meant to be a cruel character there's something very soothing about him....briliant actor, brilliant movie, brillian scene.

  • one day i want to be "a retired gentleman of leisure"

  • ahhhhh the pussy died

  • Fantastic scene

    CLARA!!!1

  • damn ,whats that song when the clip starts??????????

  • @mentostheOG

It's called Lole y Manuel - Tu Mira

  • This is the best scene in the entire Kill Bill 2 movie--- and perhaps in the Kill Bill 1 as well. Parks is such a wonderful actor.

  • man , this performance kills me .

what amazing work Parks does .

i can't wait to see Red State ... if there's one actor that deserves a movie built around him and his talent , it's him.

  • "I must warn you, young lady. I am susceptible to flattery."

    Absolutely LOVE that line.

  • And he only drinks Dos Equis Beer

  • oh wait did he cut her face like he said he would have done Beatrix?

  • @xoflesh Yeah he calls her over just after mentioning it, also pay attention to the way he gestures as he says he would have cut her face.

  • what the hell is up with the prostitue's lip?

  • @xoflesh

    Esteban cut her face, duh.

  • Hell yeah, I fucking love Michael Parks. I only ever saw him in stuff by Quentin Tarantino though, but Earl McGraw is the coolest damn sheriff I ever saw.

  • @WolfySnackrib666

get ready for Red State , Kevin Smith's new flick .

    Park's has a MAJOR role !

    finally !

  • @MusicForYourFunk Ohh cool. But I bet he is not as badass in it as Earl McGraw =(

  • something about uma thurman pisses me off a bit, i dont know why, i kinda wanted bill to kill her in the face to face showdown

  • 6 people are not susceptible to flattery...

  • Awww, de pussy died.

  • i didint understand a word.. still loved it

  • "Ahh, how else is he ever going to see you again?" ;_;

  • Wonder if the cock crowing in the background when Esteban begins to talk about Bill was Tarantino using the biblical connection of Peter betraying Jesus or just a Mexican chicken coop folley??

  • @amlecce Could be, but then again, there's allways the danger of overanalyzing his movies and seeing references where there actually aren't any. If it does signify a betrayal on Esteban's part than he would have to be lying when he says that Bill would want him to help Beatrix find him. I don't really know why he would lie about that.

  • I hate that performances like this go largely unnoticed, yet Niocolas Cage is widely considered to be a good actor. There's something wrong with humanity.

  • I like the way Esteban says 'Bill'..

  • Michael Parks is so underrated, can't wait to see Red State when he finally has a whole movie to himself

  • @nopage

Wow, oes the whole film centre around Michael in Red State

I can't wait for him to see him in that

Kevin Smith said his performance is incredible

  • BRAVO

  • Wow. I didn't even know this could be Michael... amazing.

  • one of many gem scenes in this kill bill vol.2. the sandwich scene with bill, kiddo and their daughter is also a noteworthy one -- i think thats the biggest gem of them all.

  • What happened to that chics lip?? 2 much sukki sukki? :-P

  • Ragazzi chi mi sa dire il titolo del secondo brano presente alla fine del video...

    grazie anticipatamente.

  • I just watched KB 2 again for like the 8th time. It is just unbelievable how good it is. This seen is just great, he is unreal. I love it: "Where's Bill". The acting of everyone in this movie is awesome, every scene is simple better than the next.

  • One of the best performances I have ever seen. Unbelievably beautiful acting.

  • @ 2:01 - The book that Esteban is reading is not a real book; the book functions not only as a prop but as an inside joke. It's a tribute to a member of the film crew, Jasmine Yuen Carrucan. Kurrajong is a town in Australia; Jasmine Yuen Carrucan is Australian. She is editorial production assistant and second assistant camera.

  • My Pussy Wagon died on me... xD

  • Ahhhhh the pusssy died...

  • i would have been nicer i would have just cut your face

  • i would have been nicer i would have just cut your faec

  • I always thought Michael Parks never got the roles he should've gotten. I loved him in those 1960's biker films and that TV show, "Then Came Bronson". But it took Quentin Tarantino to pull out the best in him. "I wouldn't have shot you...I would've just...cut your face."

  • I always thought Michael Parks never got the roles he should've gotten. I loved him in those 1960's biker films and that TV show, "Then Came Bronson". But it took Quentin Tarantino to pull out the best in him.

  • Where's Beellhnnhuhn...

  • God, this was, by far, the best line other that the "That's right. I killed your Master" scene between the Bride & Elle just because of that special line "I would have been much nicer. I would have just cut your face" & then you see that blonde. Priceless! Am I the only chick who fell in love with that leather jacket she's wearing? I've been searching for one like it since I first watched this. I think it's custom made. Look at the sleeves. She's got long arms & the sleeves go to her wrist!

  • Fantastic scene!

another reason I blame the movie studio for breaking up an originally intended epic movie into 2! Parks' range coulda been on display even moreso as he also played the Sheriff at the post-massacre wedding chapel scene in part 1.

  • quite possibly the finest 5 mins of acting in modern cinema.

  • 3:08

  • Great scene, great acting. However, there's a mistake that becomes immediately apparent to native Spanish speakers: Esteban is pronounced EsTEban, not EsteBAN. The accent is in the middle sillable, not the last. As the Bride is a native English speaker, her mistake is normal, but Esteban should have replied, "Only on the condition that you call me EsTEban..."

  • @dlangpap Yeah, I noticed it too. Maybe Tarantino wanted Esteban to be so cool, he pronounced his name completely different from the normal pronunciation. Or the actor himself, who is a native English speaker himself, didn't notice either. ;P

  • @dlangpap That's interesting to hear. Do Mexicans have an accent? In English there are many accents accross the globe. For example the English have certain accents according to class and we Americans have regional accents. Is it possible to tell where a Spanish speaking person comes from according to his accent?

  • @chairde It is, actually. A Mexican to english accent is definitely different than say, a Brazilian 1.

  • This is the best scene in the entire film. Its like watching Hans Landa in Inglorious Basterds. You can't take your eyes off Michael Parks.

  • What were we talking about? Ah...WHERE's BILL?

  • @mgk2600 lol best part of the scene lol ...whaaa were we...talking about?

  • If we had met when I was back in business, you would have been...my number one lady...*wink*

  • "Clara!!! (smooch, smooch)..... dos anejo." 4:44

  • "Clara!!! (smooch, smooch)..... dos anejo."

  • Best Scene in Vol. 2

Like The Hattori Hanzo scene in Vol. 1

  • that's an occasion where smoking is cool. Such an impressive performance

  • the most interesting man in the world

  • "I would have been much nicer....I would just cut your face." Lol love it

  • Esteban: I heard you were driving a truck.

Bea: My Pussy Wagon died on me.

    Esteban: Tsk, THE PUSSY DIED.

You have no idea how hard I laughed at that part.

  • This isn't the Dos Equis guy. An actor named Jonathan Goldsmith is.

  • Is this based on a real Mexican accent?

  • @danthemanfresno2006 pretty much. sounds lidgit. lol!

  • One of Tarantino's best scenes - Both acting and directing wise. Michael Parks deserved a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for this, end of fucking story.

  • My Name is Esteban!!!!!! therefore i am a pimp :D

  • its true, Uma did a very good job. If only her fucking sunglasses were taken off we could see the disgust in her eyes more. Oh well.

  • awesome acting!!!! tarantino always get the best out of those old actors by giving them arich and profond characters to play

  • When he espeaks Espanish he sound like a Real Mexican( if Not Better) but when Lady GaGa speaks Spanish she just sounds like a Bigot! Alejandro.

I bet he drinks Dos Equis, always!

  • flinging that ghia around the road. As if they ever function that well! HA.

  • is there anyone knows the name of song?

  • @attorney41

    Title: Tu Mirá

    watch?v=NGiBe7k9V2A

  • @DesmondE

    thx :)

  • is there anyone knows the name of guitar song?

  • How about some credit for Uma in this scene? Her thinly veiled disgust is awesome.

  • 80 year old pimp, classic!!! " what wa we talklin about?"

  • Do you remember where YOU were, the day the pussy died?

  • I was there the day the pussy died.

  • Claraih.... !

  • This is Oscar worthy

  • Every time I watch this I feel as if Im right there.

    What were we talking about.

  • Michael freaking Parks!!!!

  • "He shot you in the head? *rolls eyes* I would have been much nicer. I would have just cut your face!"

  • HE IS THE MOST INTERESTING MAN IN THE WORLD!!!

  • Esteban Was awesome!!!

  • Can't wait till Kill Bill 3!

  • America=full of fats and warmouners

Mexico=full of tacos, hot chicks, burritos and arms dealers

  • @Mishapetrenko

Let me take a wild guess that you have NEVER been to the Americas.

  • @chairde

hey mate dont convince me ive been to usa and mexico :D

  • What'd he do to the whores lip?

  • @JessAtlas she must have either tried to screw him over somehow or she must have got an attitude and talked back to him or something. maybe she didn't satisfy a "customer". those are some of my guesses. hey, atleast she still has her life. she's just disfigured.

  • truly unforgettable scene... a real masterpiece

  • my pussy wagon died on me.

  • Uma looks incredible in this scene. it's one of my favorites of the whole Vol.1 and 2 movies. The dialog is great. Notice that Esteban's brandy snifter disappears from the table right before he orders dos anejos.

  • "I would have been much nicer. I would have just cut your face." lmao

  • That is an English language newspaper on the table. What is the significance?

  • Awesome.

  • Michael Parks is such a chameleon. Great stuff.

  • Senor Esteban still can't compete with The Most Interesting Man in the World.

  • Claraaa.!! MOOCH MOOCH.....

He is the only actor that makes me wish to be old

  • my writer name is Esteban Vihaio, he's one of my fav characters, even if i don't like pimps:))

  • Where is Bill?

  • where's Bielllll

  • i love this part

  • I could not believe it when i seen michael parks plays esteban and the sherrif who goes to the church where the wedding rehersal was, he did both so perfectly and sooooooo cool

  • what is the name of the spanish song?

  • tu mira by lole y manuel

  • @cuitey6

Wouldn't it be cheaper and much easier to film this scene in Mexico? After all Hollywood is close to Mexico.

  • @chairde now that you think about it, it would have been much more easy
