I love the soundtrack in this trailer. We need more fantasy rpg's that have hybrid soundtracks :D (eg symphonic rock like at the beginning and at 3:45)
the ships seem extrodinaraly close, there woudlent be enough room for the ball to make much of an arch, and to me some of teh further shot balls do look like thier making somewhat of an arch
the ship fights are cool, but...the cannonballs seem to just fly in a straight line, there is no arch...and there usually is an arch when a cannon is fired i thought...or maybe their just that close that all they need to do is point at their target.

Well then you must be WoW hater lol. It's not finished yet and i'm a bit skeptical too but the gameplay looks like it would make up for it even with this video. My PC can handle good graphic games but this still looks more intriguing than the cliche WoW game.
Imagine this real life scenario: You invite a friend over to hang out and possibly play a little co-op of your favorite console game. Or w/e. He leaves your house alive. Well, if in rea life, you have the freedom to arbitrarily kill whoever you want, why is he still alive? Most likely, it is because you chose not to kill him. Similarly, just because you can kill somebody in Darkfall, doesn't mean you have to.
I got to say, that looked pretty awesome, despite what "johnpablo" there said. But having said that, it took wha almost 5 years to get that gameplay footage? i dont care if they aren't funded, or new. I mean i'm new to rocket science, does that mean i get a job with rocket science? no i learn and study first. Just as these game "devs" have done. They have to be experienced enough to show us some footage in the first 5 years. damnit. I'm excited, but don't believe the release date.
well if you look at it from a cinematographic point of view yes. But the fact that the trailer sucks has no effect on the actualy game. I buy a GAME to play a GAME if i wanted pretty animations and perfect filming technique I'd watch a movie. More specifically a good movie, besides the trailer doesn't show all of the GAMEplay so I really dont want to judge it yet.
True, but this isn't a trailer. It's in-game footage, and the people controlling the cameras are probably dev's or testers, and they're doing the recording live. So it's not like they get the footage and then go over the camera movements after recording the footage.
Also, while I realize you weren't criticizing the gameplay, I love to hear myself talk, so I'm just going to say that while watching these battles is boring, being in one would most certainly not be boring at all.
oh and JawsusNSexmanShow the graphics are pretty bad because 1. This companies entire focus is on really awesome gameplay 2. the company is also new and not that well funded atm and 3. It is gnna get done a hell of a lot faster if its simple graphics.

but this trailer is among the WORST i have ever seen
The change camera angles LITERALLY EVERY 2 SECONDS
The angles chosen are ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL
The music choice was also very POOR
I mean really didnt the developers of the game watch this for 10 seconds before they realize, WAIT WTF THIS SUCKS DICK.
