I don't care what the game looks like either! I want a nice balanced game that's fun and exciting to play and I'm afraid BF3 just doesn't have that feel which we got with the older BF games and that defined the likes of BF:1942/VIETNAM and BF2!

I like BF3 but I don't think it retains that loving feeling we all have for this game due to how fun and dynamic it was at the time!

I think what ruined BF is how complicated they have made the games, just look at BF3!! unlock this and that instead of just having a simple set of weapons with normal attachments . I think every little detail down to how the map in the corner looks should never have been changed, I think they have changed the game so much that they have taken the fun and exciting aspect out of it that had us all playing for hours and replaced it with this "Realism" upsession! I'm gonna buy all the older BF'S!!

Maybe not players with the desire to just play the game (such as yourself), but more like the ones who have a shorter attention span in games. The people who respond to praise better, you know.

No game will get realism nailed, trust me. They should just give up. I consider myself lucky to have a liking for games like BF2 (balanced, simple fun) and BF3 (more complicated and more rewards).

@irelandbacktoirish I think that Battlefield Bad Company 2 Vietnam came as close to hitting the simple fun nail on the head as it will get nowadays. You get some guns, a few perks to help you define your character (demo man, scout type person, etc) and an objective to play by. That's it! A lot of people loved it as well, so obviously the love for the simpler FPS games is still there. It's just that there are too many games along the theme of 'make everything too complicated' today. :|

@irelandbacktoirish Yeah, I agree with you 100%. Simplifying is certainly the way to go. I loved Battlefield Bad Company 2: it had unlocks, sure, but they were mainly new guns. The only attachments were a couple of scopes, and nothing else! As for Vietnam, there were no attachments. It was your wit, your gun, and a little perk or two that aided you, but didn't give you a massive advantage over other players. It was sometimes annoying (shotgun noobs cough cough) but aside from that it was great.

In BF3 you have to unlock flares AND missles? WTF?! Then I (new player) have NO chance against a fucking veteran, who is good at jet fighting AND has all the unlocks. Wow, that was great idea, dice. So new players are feeding machines for vets. Good job!

Also this flashing scopes for snipers are fucked up "feature". I mean, cmon, Im in shadow and still my scope is making light stronger than a fucking flashlight. What idiot came up with that idea?!

@Lavourrin bout the snipers i agree but about the jets your about half right the missles aren't great for jet 2 jet cos of the lock time beam scaner does make it easier but your still better off with the cannon as for their skill well that just happens and dice would prob answer it as a reward for being a fan who bought the game first being decent enough in jets my advice is get close to the enemy jet and rotate between burner and brake when turning to cut inside him--ran out of space

Come on, its way to damn cliched. MEC and PLA should come back, much better than having stupid russians as bad guys in every game. BF3 seems really watered down compared to bf2 in these areas.
