  • Depends. I've been doing mountain climbers and other various calisthenics for years (makes up 50% of our 4 hour wrestling practice) I'm also majoring in Phys Ed, if you want a more challenging variation of mountain climbers: starting in push-up position, go down to the ground, hold that position and flare your knees out to the sides of your body. Also, make sure to keep your head up when doing mountain climbers; don't look down, it'll give you a better workout.

  • Please don't use the word "tone". There's no such thing. You can lose fat and gain muscle, but there's no such thing as "toning".

  • he is correct. there are only two things you can do, gain or lose muscle. toning usually refers to losing the fat surrounding the muscle to make it look better.
