  • she can do hair really good

  • thank you!

  • wow i havent seen a better tutorial on here. this is the best i have seen thus far!!

  • thank you

  • love the video..u have insprired me to finally try kinky twists....but an off topic question...wth was on the tv????...i really didnt even notice until the end of the video...when u demonstrated the twist twist method...omg...i had to do a double take...lol

  • Great video:) Could you do a video on how to finish off the different styles (kinky twist, micro braids) using only your natural hair (no added hair) and for people who have white Caucasian hair (blonde straight hair)? Can some kind of colored string be used to start and finish the braids maybe? My daughter wants these twists and she has naturally long hair, so I don't need to add any fake hair but I don't know how to finish them so they will stay in as it will unravel itself unless tied, thanks

  • Hello...Thx!

Well... kinky twist are called 2 strand twist on natural hair and I have

a video on the already. micro braids would just be small

braids you just braid them all the way to the ends. They shouldnt

unraveled. Yes you can add some string or some yarn to the braids.

There are great videos already on youtube that can help you do this.

I also make custom Training E-Videos and Dvds also.

Please check out my website for more info.

  • @AKIYIAKELLY Thanks heaps, I will keep going through all your vid's and find it:) Sadly our hair does unravel and that is why I thought about using some kind of pretty string that can be incorporated into the twist but also be used to tie it off. Keep up your great vid's, they are awesome!!!

  • two strand twist is really for natural hair.

The natural hair texture makes the twist ends stay.

You can also put perm rods on the ends and curl the

ends to make them stay or you can put the same color

rubber bands on the end like the hair.

  • thanks you i feel that ur tutorial was helpful

  • Thank you!

I am glad it helped you!

  • that was so helpful!

  • SO PREEETY!!!!!!!!!!! GIRL please DO MY HAIR!

  • LOL... Thank you!

I do hair so when ever you ready

I can hook you up :-))

    Thanks for watching!

  • I forgot to tell you that I did my braids the same day I replied to you. It turned out good. I just can't get the ends to girl exactly how I wanted. I used the cold wave rollers...maybe I should have used a smaller roller....but I've been getting so many compliments so I did better than I thought I guess.

  • Aww that is great.

Yes the Smaller rod you use the better

curl you will get. I have a great video on

how to curl your kinky twist just scroll through

my diffrent videos on my Channel. Take care..

  • can yhu do mi hair

  • Yes mam check out my website for priceing and more info:

    akiyia.webs.com

  • @AKIYIAKELLY do you have to use the marley hair

  • for kinky twist you do.

  • OH! So that's how you make it not unravel when you're done. I'm trying to teach myself how to do them on my own hair & everything was all good until I got to the end & let go. I thought that when you braid the hair in two it would stay. I didn't realize you had to twist it as you go. I tried your method while playing your video & sure enough when I got to the end, it stayed. Thanks.

  • I am so Glad to Hear that!

  • tht mannequin is sweet where u gt tht?

  • thanks...

You can get it form your local beauty

    supply store or at: amazon.com

  • Can You PLEASE tell me how long should I get mine I want them long enough for me I do a mohawk and other hairstyles and im a Lefty too :)

  • Hey lefty... ~Smiling

I think shoulder length would be good!

  • thank you so much! becauuse i never could get it right. i knew how to start it off but my twist was never right

  • your welcome!

  • Do u spray any thing on it after u curl the ends like spritz ?

  • I always spray my clients hair when I am finish with it.

I use hairspray and oil sheen.

  • I think it would have been better if you would have twist it at the roots first, but you still did good at braiding it at the ends. VERY UNIQUE... :) !!!

  • thanks for watching...

Twisting from the roots isnt always a good thing

to do for everyone b/c some pp have very thin

hair. Twisiting from the roots can really take out

your hair. That is why some pp I do the twisting method and some

pp the braiding method. You get the same results which ever

    method you chose to do:

    Thx.. :)))

  • @AKIYIAKELLY

Thank you very much for this. I think I'm going to braid at the end more.. :) !!

  • your welcome...

  • I like the marly braid, but it frizzes so bad in my daughters hair. What do u do to keep the hair from frizzing?

  • Im sorry I never have problems with frizzyness so

I really dont have any tips. I guess just make sure

you coil and then twist the hair that should help.

  • how do you keep the end from unraveling?

  • thank you I am trying this for the Friday

  • I really appreciate your video, I did my own kinky twist and my hair is very soft and frizzy. I couldn't figure out why it frizzes up in a week but you just helped me i didn't twist the two strands as I twist it together, you are such a blessing. Thankx

  • thanks this vido helped alot but where did you get your manakin or wher can i get one

  • your welcome.

i got it form my local beauty supply

store. You can also order one from: amazon.com

  • So since I'm right handed I would twist left? Thats the only.part im confused on, I love the video and I plan on doin my own

  • yes you are right...

So you will coil to the right and twist left over right.

But It also really depends on the type of hair.

But most of the time Kinky twist hair you would do that method!

  • great... thanks for the detailed tutourial imma try it today.. im soo excited

  • Thank you so much...by using a different color hair I could actually figure it out!I'm gonna try it on my daughter's hair :) I can't keep going to the salons anymore! For both of us it's well over $300...that's a lot of gas money, lol!!

Thanks and keep uhp the good work!!

  • just borrow some hair from the other strand closes and combined it

to the mannequin hair. So you can have 2 even strands.

  • you need the Hair to do it.. ~Smiling

  • lol @ u giving the head a personality

  • Yes I have havent I..lol

    Thx for Watching!

  • you explain this very well hun love it

  • I have a question:

When you are twisting the hair, does the root of the hair twist as well? Because I tried the first method that you demonstrated in this video, however the root of my hair was twisting. Is that normal? Or I just do not know how to twist?

  • Yes the Root suppose to twist too, That is how you attach the extensions from the

    root...Thx for Watching!

  • the twisting method looks easier

  • Both are easy but if you or your client have thin hair I would use the braiding method b/c

The twist method can be hard on thining hair and pull it out.

    Thx for Watching!

  • thank u so much for this vid..imma up and come hair stylist and this vid helped me alot...so keep em coming...P.S i love how u talk, where u from?, lol

  • your welcome.. thx for watching!

  • thank u i am going to try it soon

  • good job

  • thx...

  • what type of hair did you use. because i wanna try on my cousin hair .

  • Femi Marley Braiding hair.

  • thank you for this how to.... I have thin hair but my daughter has medium to thick hair and I will try both.... great job.

  • your welcome..thx for waching!

  • Thx...If you are trying to do Kinky Twist you will need: Marley Braiding hair.

You can get it from your local beauty supply store. The yacky hair is

really for braids or if you do twist you would tie knot it and leave the ends loose

    sort of like micro braids..

  • Good Instructions =D, I do have a question. . what kind of hair do i need to qet b.c i have "Yaky" here but idk if its qood for kinky twists. . ?

  • You are so precise and concise thank you!

  • thx...

  • THANK YOU!!! i am so left handed.lol and this is the first video on her that i didn't have to watch in the mirror.

  • I know being left handed makes things soo

    much diffrent & harder.

    Thx for watching!!

  • i just might try that

  • This was very informative what type of hair did you use??? Thank you so much

  • Femi Marley Braiding hair.

  • Very informative, I feel like I can do it now myself.

Thanks!! I am natural going on 8 mos. Have only done 2 twists from day one,

my hair is long enough now for something else. Pray for me.

  • Good Im glad you like...

You will do Great Practice makes perfect.

Send me some pics of your style when you do it.

I would love to see the end result...

  • This was a very good tutorial. Thanks for your thorough presentation.

  • thx for watching!

  • so do i moisting the hair as i twist or no and thank you

  • no you dont have to unless you want to...I say

it is easier to moisturize the twist once you get them all

completly done. B/c moisturizing as you go do make the weave

more slippery & hard to attach...

  • i love the way that you show how to do the twist because most of the people dont really show how to do anything

  • Thanks for Watching!!

  • NICE VIDEO!!

  • Thanks for Watching!!

  • Great Video. Thank You for saying the Braid Method is easier on the hair than the Twisting from the start method. I used to have the Senegalese twists and it took my edges out and a lot of the rest of my hair. It's the starting of it, too much tension at the beginning. Thanks Akiyia, Love Your Videos....
