Fascinating yet scary at the same time to see how fast robot technology is developing - this is another step closer for the u.s military and their goal to achieve robots that can serve in war.
@lullabud In 2006 at his TED talk, Jeff Han noted, "there is no reason in this day and age that we should be conforming to a physical device... We have so much technology nowadays that interfaces should start conforming to us." Our DREAM Controller is based on this philosophy and conforms every time the hand contacts the surface. To tip our hat to his inspiration, we used a remix of the song that he used in his original 2006 video.
@mmicire Oh nice, that makes sense. That was an epic video, totally mind opening. It seems though that choosing the same music isn't as clear of a compliment as just saying "Many thanks to Jeff Han who inspired us to build a better class of interface that helps make sci-fi into reality" at the end of the vid or something.
I do love the music though. K&D are teh shizz, both brilliant musicians.
@lullabud I agree. For some people, there is a fine line between professional admiration and fan-boy-ness. Not having met Jeff myself, I figured I would make a subtle compliment here and then formally thank him over a beer at the next multi-touch conference. It is much easier to ensure intent when there is a smiling face behind the handshake.
Thanks for the kind words. I really appreciate the support.
WoW! my bro, one of those computer gigs shared it in facebook, and me as an architect, enjoyed it and can't be excited anymore!!!!!
these stuffs can make such a new world for designers! I can easily imagine it for preservation and archeology disciplines or in the other hand for contemporary architects...

Is Peace Orchestra the default multi-touch soundtrack now?
Love the idea, it's good to see something interesting being done with the MS Table.
