@pelares666 Yes. It was written and first recorded by Bob Dylan. Dylan and PP&M were friends; and PP&M got permission from Dylan to record some of his songs. At the time, Dylan was considered a visionary and his songs prophetic. When you think about it, wasn't he, and weren't they? This song is as appropriate now as it was in the '60s--maybe even more so now than then. Dylan's songs were very political. Even the ones that didn't seem to be were steeped in symbolism. Check out his early stuff.
