  • What do you mean "how can anyone think this sounds good"....just look at the amount of aggression...fucking great video..reminds me of high school and all the girls lol

  • i like tbs, but i really don't know anyone who can say this actually sounds good...thanks god for "studio magic"

  • you guys are wrong cuz shaun and john are back in and ive seen em live with the old lineup already!

  • you will never see music presented like this again

if u think hipster bands with no passion suck now,...wait ANOTHER 10 years

  • holy shit sooo fast tempo is soooo fast

  • they are sooooo good! i liked it better like this! but i like them just as much now!

  • @passmen3001 fucking die

  • man this is how bands should be preforming. now its just unison head bangs. all the passion is gone man. but this is what its all about. who cares if they arent singing it fucking exactly right. theyre having fun and putting every little bit of themselves into this killer rock show.

  • Man this video brings back memories.

He was so concerned about mic throwing and not about singing back then, hell, he still is.

  • dude so good and yeah thats adam

  • They suck on live...

  • there playing this song so much faster

  • i wish they were still like this.

  • @xsqueetzzz

    They are again :-D

  • ha adam looks like he has a.d.d in this video. he's singing but he keeps looking at everything else, idk.

  • i want to remember tbs shows just like this.

  • Back when the scene was good...

  • Comment removed

  • How so?

  • They're going crazy and the lead singer doesnt look gay yet.

  • fuck, I miss john

  • amen brother.

  • i like everything about the old taking back sunday....

the music, the image, the kinda vibe feel, adams hair and head banging and all his other little stage anticks, johns yelling

and just pretty much everyhitng was muchmuchmuchmuch better.

  • they're still great, you should have seen them yesterday

  • I totally agree with WELLMAN,

everything about the old tbs is awesome

  • o crap... this is a REALLY crappy recording but i actually like how it sounds...... a lot

  • where you want to be is the best album i think. and honestly i got pissed off because i cant find I am Fred Astaire live. but yeah the first two albums are great. both guitarists were great and dont get enough credit...they got a new song...its only on youtube. called "that is quite enough" ,with fazzi. its not bad, just different. but if you think about it, each album was different. give it a listen.

  • It's not that its different, it's different in a way that just isn't what Taking Back Sunday should be.

It's more poppy and mainstream, like they're trying to please everyone, instead of themselves.

The old songs had a touch of what felt like the band members in them, Louder Now kind of just feels like they're trying to sell records by sounding good.

Make no mistake in thinking that I'm saying it's a bad album, but it just isn't Taking Back Sunday.

  • Who says there trying to please everyone else. What if they wanted to take there music in a different direction since Fred left.

  • That made no sense.

So because you don't like the new guy (even though I'm sure you know nothing about him) you think there's going to be techno on the new cd? That's retarded.

  • i love the intro into this song.

  • i don't think most of you understand, of course these shows were amazing, and yes, louder now may not have been as great as their previous records, but they wanted to change it up. If they continued to make the same kind of music, the fans would get bored with it, so they made a record that was more theatrical and not as meaningful, and it was still great. They have been talking about how on their upcoming record, they are going back to the kind of music from tell all your friends. Dont Worry.

  • Actually to me it wasn't the music.

It's the people in the band.

I love Fred Mascherino as much as any non-megahardcore Fred fan.

But John Nolan is one of the greatest showmen, singers, and song writers in all of alternative/punk music.

And losing both John and Fred is a total loss, I haven't heard how they sound with Matt Fazzi yet, but I almost guarantee he isn't as good as John or Fred.

Add that onto Adam not performing as well as he used to and you really just have a decline.

  • you never know though, Fazzi could blow us away. of course it wont sound exactly like fred and john, but its something different. if they did the same thing over and over again, itd get boring.

  • I could've used more than 1 album of John and 1 good album with Fred.

Louder Now is a piece compared to Tell All Your Friends and Where You Want to Be.

Maybe they will revert to the old stuff.

Maybe they will be as passionate as before.

    But I doubt it.

Fred and John were the passion.

Adam has slowly decayed, and those two still are amazing.

  • I love Adam. And I agree that John and Fred are rad.

But I just don't think this Fazzi guy can do the trick.

They will probably have a hit record, and get really big(ger) like they did with louder now. But, I would like to see the old style of TBS.

  • without nolan, that cant happen.

  • I don't think that TBS sold out, they just grew up. I mean don't get me wrong, these old TBS shows are the shit, but could you imagine Adam trying to sing in front of 20,000+ like they do now adays as wasted as he was at this show? No. As you mature, you realize what you have to do. Taking Back Sunday's fan base has tremendously grown from 2001 to 2008 and unfortunately, we can't really see shows like this anymore which sucks, I know, but at the same time you have to see it from their point.

  • what does "sold out" mean to you. if i was driving from city to city in a van and someone offered me cash money i think i'd take it, if you wouldnt your a commie

  • THEY are still awesome

and yes fob and all american FAGHOLES sold out BAD

    especially F.O.B.

    but yea adams just emotional

thts why he sounds like this not drunk

i was THERE he deff was hype as hell

  • holy shit.

I would've murdered to go to this show.

Christ Jesus, they fucking suck live now.

  • I would kill to be at one of these shows

  • is it just me or does anyone else like adams hair better like this?

  • yeah

i like it better like this :D

  • yea, i dont like it super long like he has it now. i used to get my hair cut like this when i had long hair. it was a pretty shweeet cut...

  • i think adam was drunk or something, cuz hes a much better singer

  • he was drunk... haha much more energy though

  • yeah he was way drunk ahaha.

  • i dont think he was drunk at all.

i think he's just energetic kinda guy and becomes emotional when he sings these songs.

  • man, I love Taking Back Sunday to death

but to be honest...they're not too good live anymore

a band's perfomance live is a big impacton what people think of them

and they're just so...I dunno calm I guess

    I miss old TBS live.

  • Cause they sold out

  • Dude shut up.

    You people are so stupid.

    Honestly.

    "They sold out".

What the fuck does that mean to you??

Last time I checked they weren't like All American Rejects and Fall Out Boy, on fucking disney channel and shit.

    You don't know shit.

  • thats cause both of those bands always sucked..taking back sunday signed to a major record label...made a shitty pop album..and suck live now

  • They sold out = made crappy pop rock radio friendly songs that lacked the emotion and heart heard on Tell All Your Friends.

  • i've got the mic and you've got the mosh pit

  • your an idiot for thinking this is awful they suck now live. I would love to see them play like this again the energy is nuts

  • I second that

  • Aye, this shows a purer side of rock

    The energy release!

  • the song is good but this performance was awful

  • What was horrible was their Live Earth performance that I just watched. 4/4 Louder Now songs, no mic swinging, no energy, and annoying scene girls singing in the audience.

Did I mention no mic swinging? Yeah.

Anyway, this video was awesome. John Nolan was sick, and the crowd was totally into it.

  • adam was sick at live earth...and nervous as fuck...and adam is not sober right here...lik at all

  • Yeah, okay dude. I saw them at San Jose a year ago, and even then they were infinitely better than that POS Live Earth show I watched. He just walked around singing into the mic.

  • i didnt say they were good. they did suck. but adam was sick

  • By "sick" I meant "totally fucking awesome". Damn norcal slang screwing with people. Fuck me.

  • the show on the 27 of july was like this. adam was seriosuly going crazy.

  • absolutely amazing!!!
