  • genius

  • Maybe i'm just stupid, but why did this song blow up so quickly ??

  • MrDEFENCE1000-přesně vystiženo !!

  • GOOD

  • I remember being in Paddington Children's Hospital (Paddington Green) in 1970/1971 when (I think) the drummer came in to visit us kids in hospital! I'd love to say hello to him again. Anyone know who he is? I think he was the drummer but not absolutely certain...anyways, I'd like t buy him a pint!

  • @1963eamonn Glad you made it to adulthood. :-)

  • Catchy? Ohh well....some things are better left at rest..

  • Coco the clown on drums !!!!

  • My God I hated this - and still do!!

  • et oui on etaint fans . . . ecouter bien.! ABBA s'en.est surement inspire

  • My Momma was killed in a car crash, that's where she went.........

  • I say bring back hot pants and knee highs !

  • DANNY BOY LOL :)

  • coor she is hot...gonna crack one off to this vid i think

  • @camelbreathkid only one?

  • Not for nothing, women were attractive back then but good lord the men were terrible! How did any of them ever get laid?

  • @mrsparkle001 Well, the Sexual Revolution took place in the 1970s ...

  • @Cryingman Not every guy was lol worthy, but the styles and fashion...omg the styles and fashion!

Women remained attractive though. Kudos to them. I just wonder how in the world they were ever attracted to the men of the decade.

  • @mrsparkle001 Well, sad but true, we thought the men in those days looked hot. We didn't know what the future held, we had to deal with what we had. It was fun anyhow!!

  • @TheTongapuss Well to be fair you did have Robert Plant and a few others that are considered sex symbols even today.

Hey I grew up in the 80s with the big hair and crazy fashions.

  • @mrsparkle001 I grew up probably a few years before you and each of the decades had its own fashions. At least they had some fashions in those days, things seem quite ordinary today unless you can afford a Gucci dress at around £2K. Fat chance. I liked the feminine things with shoulder pads. I say DID, they look pretty awful now though.

  • I'm in the same boat as Mr Defence1000!

  • looking at the 70's phenomena, i would say that hip hop, rap, pop would be trash into garbage if being inroduced during that time LOL...

  • Happy days. I was serving in Cyprus with the army. Free discos at the malcolm club, cheap boose and all those lovely suntanned WRAC's.

  • @martindl99 in which year you were serving in Cyprus,I was also there in Turkish army.

  • @formulaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I was in the British army. On the island for 6 months in 1971. It was a free holiday at the tax-payers expense.Happy days.

  • @martindl99 I was late for you dude,I came there at July 20 1974 from the air.It was joyfull move and some noisy ?!!!

  • @formulaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I was glad to be there in more peaceful times. A beautiful island . I may go back some day for a nostalgic look round. Where have the years gone?

  • zulke goeie muziek word er niet meer gemaakt

  • Scottish music FTW!

  • I have forgotten all these 70s bands. Great to find them. How normal everyone looked back then. Now I want some of this music in my ipod. ;)

  • Brilliant!

  • A hit thanks to RNI. Happy days

  • ♫♪♪♫♫♫♪♫♪♪ "basznak a verebek a jegenyefan..." ♫♪♪♫♫♫♪♫♪♪

  • looks like the cast of the railway children love it and the videos my first time wow bring it back lol

  • Sally Carr kills hotpants and boots <3

  • This was scottish singer Sally Carr who was married to Chick Young - the BBC 'Football Reporter'. My aunt was supposed to sing this song but it was given to this band in the end. My aunt was in a band and always sang this song and said she could have been famous!!!!

  • I've heard this record for decades. First time I've seen the lead singer's face. Seriously up until now I didn't know whether it was a guy or a woman singing.

  • @sirtinycreep Vocalist is Sally Carr who later married Mark McManus of Taggart fame

  • @48trixie Seriously? The lucky old sod! Such a shame he died so young.....RIP

  • @sirtinycreep Believe me - all of us 'yoofs of the 70's' KNEW it was a woman! :-)

  • are they from the 118 118 advert ?

  • Peace and no mention of blacks , lesbians, jews, muslims, welsh irish - who cares - Just a Great SONG X

  • pam pam adoro la cancion

  • oh love this song, I was a lil kid when this was released. thanks for posting the song:) The vid is funny lol reminds me what people wear at that time.

  • Sally Carr the sexy girl from Glasgow loved her voice

  • To me this song signalled the end of an era.

Up until then we'd been spoilt since 1963 with great music such as the Beatles, soulful and often ingenius interpretations of Dylan protest songs, bubblegum music and psychedelic era with its cleverly crafted and fun pop music, then finally the latterday psychedelic revival with songs from the musical Hair.

When I heard this song in 1971, [it] so devoid of artistic merit, I felt that music had finally lost its way, and "the 60's" era was truly over.

  • @RooBar64 The 70's had 'classics' too - and this is one of them....

  • this is mad, this is the first record i remember being on the radio when i was a kid,its always stuck in me head!i would av been about 7-8 at the time and then 5 years later i was pogoin to the pistols, clash and punk! still am now

  • @MrDEFENCE1000 I can relate to this, and I'm the same age as you! Every couple of years I find myself singing this song in my head; the same thing happened just now and I thought "I've just gotta look up what that 'chirpy chirpy cheep cheep' song is!" and here I am :)

  • @MrDEFENCE1000 This isn't Ebay. ;/

  • Škoda toho posunutého zvuku. Jinak paráda.

  • Devil worshipers

  • I always enjoy this.

  • Decided when babysitting my niece and nephew to teach them a song. On reflection, this was not the best choice of track.

  • @lyricistgirl I'll bet they kept you up all night :) lol

Those were the days where.....if you couldn't pay in cash.....you had to wait till you could save the money to buy it.No charging to get you in hock.I guess we never figured that out till it was too late. Now it's a world of "maxed out credit cards" and homes we can't afford to make house payments on.

  • I recall this tune from the time when I was a kid....brings back great memories of the great music that emerged from the 1960's and 1970's. ....today's music is so much trash.
