So why isn't new series using the Ventures version? Too cheap to pay the royalties I guess. This always was way better than the original big band version.

This is the original theme to Hawaii 5-O . Yes there is a differance . Every couple of seasons they would tweek the song a little . My brfother and I had a pretty good argument about it . Listen to this version then go listen to the "Theme to Hawaii 5-O".

They are different .

i loved that song and that show simply one of the best t v show theme songs ever. i remember all my bros and sis jumping around to that tune in the 70's.
