  • Awesome just to the point instruction video Thanks so much.

    Well done

  • @hgortermarof Thanks for the support. I must make time to do more instruction videos.

  • i was going to say it gives a nice matte finnish but then you took the film off and its nice and shiniey still looks like the mutts nutts though pretty cool

  • @MrNath5150 Its a great feeling peeling the overspray film off. Soon gets battle scares once on the rocks.

  • can u paint it on the outside rather than the inside i couldnt watch the full video coz of time wise , but please reply thanks :)

  • @RcZandMore Painting on the inside will make the finish last longer and not scratch but yes you can pain on the outside. You can even paint silver on the inside and your colour on the outside and then when the paint scratches off you will see what looks like metal :-) Hope this helps.

  • @rcBitz wow thanks for the super quick reply , and thats an awsome idea thanks :P reall car :P can u do a layer of say red as bottom layer (on out side ) then on top pink ( on outside on top of red ) or would it mix

  • @RcZandMore As long as you allow them to dry this is fine, or if you do a light dusting of a copper colour and silver inside this will look like rust :-)

  • One of the best, no fuss, no bs youtube tutorials i have ever seen. Not just in rc. Big ups!

  • @jakehadlow11 Thanks so much. I'm always unsure if people are looking for more entertainment from videos - just like trying to offer some practical easy to follow tutorials. I want to free some time to make some more.

Thanks for your support, rewarding to hear.

  • Very nice paint job!!

  • @iridemotorbikes Thanks :-) Have you seen the latest video showing it witht the read beadlocks on the wheels, thats really brought the paint scheme alive.

  • Das ist eine richtig coole Video-Reihe gewesen!!!

    WEITER SO!!!

  • @FocusBlackhillsDisc Danke. Genommen hat einige Zeit, um Film und bearbeiten lol. Ich habe einige Aufnahmen fertig zu bearbeiten, die einige Änderungen. . . watch this space.

Thank you. Has taken some time to film and edit lol. I do have some footage ready to edit showing some modifications . . . watch this space.

  • what kind of paint do you need to paint a lexan body

  • @helpmeimconfused It is important that you use Lexan or polycarbonate paints eg Tamiya, Fastrax or Pacta are all good. Hope this helps.

  • @rcBitz thanks, now im ready to paint my own body

  • Don't worry about people giving you a thumbs down. Those people have nothing better to do than troll the web and try to disrupt peoples creativity because they have none. Your vids are pretty good and informative. Keep up the good work!

  • @Helipup I think your right, just hope it does not put off others watching. I have tried to add the detail to these a new person to our hobby would want - I know its not to everyones taste but this was my aim. The more people getting involved the better. Thank for the support.

  • What I actually like to do is pull back the overspray film as I apply the decals. Like if you were starting the headlights and grille, pull back the area that it is covering, then just work your way to the rear of the car. Just in case you do touch another area on the shell, you would not have to worry about odd shapes under your decal.

  • @805RC Good tip, and clean hands help not to add finger prints to the reverse of the decal. Thanks for adding to this tutorial.

  • Sadley some people have given this the Thumbs down :-( if you do not like my videos I would be greatful for some feedback. As stated at the start of this series my aim is to try and give detailed help to those new to our great Hobby - this is all I gain from making them.

Thank you also to all my subscribers for their support, patience and encouragement.

  • so when you do one coat and its dry you can spray paint an other color over it and it wont bleed threw ?

  • @1RCMASTER1 The trick is to build the layers in think coats. You must spray the dark colours first and then the light ones - this stops any bleed threw. It is alwaysa good idea to back in white or silver to enhance the finish. Hope this helps.

  • hiya again, just wondering if you had any honcho kits to sell, had an email from they guys i bout mine off and they are out of stock and not sure how long it will be before they get any back. so if you stock them, let me know how much cause im dying to get it started, got all the electrics, but no truck!!! lol

  • @asob17 Good news I do have both RTR and kits on the self ready to send for you, I even offer on where you can swop the main wheels and tyres for different colour and RC4WD tyres! Now thats a deal :-) just visit our channel and follow web link to us.

  • they are on the list haha, the 2.2 but im gonna get the little beaut up and running first.

  • many thank i appreciate that. the esc video helped me most this will be my first electric kit, had nitro until now. sold my savage 25 last summer and i miss having a toy lol. and your right. i has been an expensive week week. spent around £350 so far, but hey its only money! thanks again

  • @asob17 I remember my first electrics and soldering, you will be fine. We all work hard so you should not feel bad about playing hard. I'm sure that figure will keep rising lol . . . new tyres . . . new wheels etc.

  • your videos are brilliant. clear and to the point. helped me lots thanks

  • @asob17 Thats very kind. Glad I have achieved what i wanted with these. They started a little poor but feel they did improve. Wish I had more time to film and post. Have been working on some upgrade videos but these have proved harder to do. Hope you have enjoyed the running videos of the Honcho and other SCX10 too.

  • @rcBitz awesome i look forward to seeing the upgrades. im just waiting for my kit to come through in the post. like a child on christmas morning

  • @asob17 lol I know how you feel I always think that is the worst bit . . . the wait. Planning, ordering, building, driving thats all great fun and lasts longer than Christmas did as a kid :-) Good luck with the build, shout if you need a hand.

  • considering ive raced rc's since i started with this hobby 10yrs ago, and with the honcho bein my first crawler, im really impressed with it. def reccomended for everyone =]

  • @Bw321a I agree with you this is a first class kit even in RTR and stock form. I've just added a video of my basic SCX10 short wheelbase with 2.2" tyres and its a comp crawler eater lol well I had fun on the rocks :-) Enjoy you truck.

  • @rcBitz i agree with you to. this truck eats the tamiya kits alive. haha

  • @Bw321a My CR-01 just sits on the shelf :-( and it cost me more money! haha

  • @rcBitz haha. i got a Rc10T4 (my first born), a Rc10B44 ( got it beginning of this past winter), and the baby of my rc family my scx10 Trail Honcho (got it last month). im a sucker for the kits. lol

  • @Bw321a The kits are a great part of the hobby as you learn how to repair and upgrade your kit while building it. RTR's do help get those new into the hobby though. Thats is why I took the time to film this to give then confidence to take the plunge and 'build you own'

  • @rcBitz it is a great thing to do. gives a general idea for everyone and does give confidence

  • u talk to much

  • @MrJeremy313 Sorry you feel this way, thanks for the comment. My aim for this series was to try and help those new to our hobby have the confidence to build their own kit.

  • What brand spray did you use to paint it?

Can I use sprays which are use for real cars?

  • @Sungmin618 I used Fastrax paint. They come in larger cans and good value. You can't use real car sprays as they are not for lexan and would flake off - there may be a way but I have not done it. Hope this helps.

  • did you use the same color of siver on the bed and on the top part of the body

  • @x18xShOoTeRx18x Yes both the same colour.

  • @rcBitz Don't you have to be 18 & older to spray paint? I'm some years younger, so can I spray paint? And if not, can you brush the body?

  • this is a great video

  • @smilerbev Thats kind. It was the part I was always most nervious of when I started in RC.

  • Nice

  • @Bigjerry911 Thank you for your support. Watch for final few videos :-)

  • Nice

  • Thank you for waiting. Filming carried on today. Just some last shots and then editing begins. hope by next week :-) I can't wait.

  • when are you posting the video showing the final product?

  • How long before it takes the paint is completely dry?

  • @slash4x4lipo Good question. A minimum would be over night. But I always leave for a day or two - also good to dry indoors where the temperature is warmer.

  • looks great!

  • @keith179150 Thanks. Have been filming the next step showing decals and putting the body together, can't wait to show you all.

  • Just checking in. Have not seen anything new in a while.

  • @shcuck @shcuck Good to hear from you. Sorry for the delay, I've been waiting for a second body and some new software that I'm learning - Hope to have the next one up soon. Thanks for checking by.

  • Thanks for the video, my son wants to get a new body for his SCX-10 and I was nervous about painting! after watching your video I'm confident that with a little patients it will turn out great. Quick question for you... where did you get the light buckets for the Honcho body??? I've looked everywhere.. thanks again for the great video.

  • Great job. Looks really good. Anxious to see the final product.

  • @shcuck Thank you. I may paint a second body for it too, have enjoyed painting this one - may use some body stirp next time as the line was a lot of work, but the effect is great. I'm looking forward to adding decals and mounting up on chassis.

  • very cool Martin, that's pretty much the same processes that I use, but without some of the more specialist tools, I think as long as you take your time and don't rush it. thats the main message.

  • gr8 vid thank you

  • @gda882002 Thank you. Hope it was useful.

  • i prefer to build lol...if you have a shop i wouldnt mind popping along an having a good old chin wag ....lol

  • @theeviloneohyes I agree building is the best way - thats why I've made this series to try and encourage those nervous to build that it really is not that bad :-) I've sent you a mail about our shop.

  • your gunna have me hooked on trailing and crawling aint ya , admit it ......hahahahahaha

  • @theeviloneohyes Yep :-) I can just tell you one step away . . . . Get in touch if you need talking into it, I have some one the self lol Even RTR if you don't want to build.

  • man your as bad as me , cant bloomin sleep ...lol....your gonna have me building an sx10 poncho ...my misses is gunna kick my ass , she had enough of the 10 or so models i have now

  • @theeviloneohyes lol Sleep just gets in the way of model time lol Well mate you won't regred the scx10, its a great truck. With 10 models I'm sure you could slip another one in without her seeing, or "I'm building it for a friend" may work!

  • keep em coming buddy ....wicked

  • @theeviloneohyes Thanks for your support.
