Obviously John Kerfoot is not a baseball fan and doesn't realize how hard it is to get to the Major Leagues. People like Brandon Inge because he was an All-Star; because he is an outstanding fielding 3rd baseman; because he is an all around great athlete; because he is a class act. He was a decent hitter until he entered the MLB Home Run Derby; since then he has been awful, but that can change quickly with a few adjustments and proper coaching...if you knew baseball.
@DONGOE I think he knows baseball pretty well. If you have watched the Tigers as much as I have, you would notice that he is not an outstanding fielding third basemen. He had one good year at third defensively. If you call a career .240 hitter a decent hitter then that he was. I call that sub-par. He is old and his legs are giving out. Inge is done.
@DONGOE - What you should know in order to be educated on the subject is that it has been 2 years and he hasn't done anything. I like Brandon Inge and hope that he can work these things out, but it doesn't look like it is going to happen soon unless they bring in a new hitting coach to work one on one with him. I used to be an Inge apologist, but I got tired of arguing with the inevitable. John Kerfoot has brought humor to a sad situation and should not be criticized for having a little fun.

The Marlins are apparently interested in Inge. I really hope they take him. I'm sick of Inge and his .180 average and him being a total jagoff about it ("it's a fluke/anyone who boos me isn't a true fan" etc). I don't care what he did in the past, this is a business and he's done nothing but make the Tigers look bad. And if he truly thinks he's being wronged then he can go fuck himself.

I am not an inge fan, I'm glad he's gone. I would disagree that he was so popular because he was white, however. If you were to tell me that nationality played a part I would buy it, because Granderson was huge here also. Member how insanely enraged the fans got when he was traded??? Sorry, I'm posting all over these comments replying to a ton of them.. but I can't STAND the Inge slappy's. We all know his off the field work is amazing.. he's a great guy. But the bottom line is, for a year straight now, he's been horrible.. yes, HORRIBLE. That's the best word. It's not a SLUMP.. that's a joke. NOBODY does what he is doing and keeps their job in the MLB. It's unheard of. Nobody. He's a great guy but stop with the excuses..he deserves what he's getting right now, its a business

"He has nothing to provide in baseball terms"??? have you ever played 3rd base? He is behind only B Robinson defensivly. He may struggle @ the plate but we've hung on to Santiago this long, so everyone must provide something...You will not find a better defensive player in the game! He makes up for an at bat here or there with his glove!

His defensive has fallen off a TON this year.. how do you not know this if you are such a brandon ingle slappy? Check his defensive stats man.. they're not very good anymore. And Adrian Beltre IS SUCH A BETTER 3rd baseman, stop being such a homer.. you make Tigers fans look bad.
