Excellent thoughts. The state of Christian art has reached poverty level. I would add though this is mostly within the Christian 'ghetto'. Outside it there are many fine artists working, ironically unknown to much of the church. For examples check out Image Journal where writers, poets, architects, musicians, etc. collaborate and encourage in working to create great faith inspired art for the world. Ghettoizing ourselves in the arts is a failed experiment that needs to be abandoned. Peace.
