  • if anyone bothered to listen they only fill the husks to a certain middle point where you see the little ties ..so actually nothing edible is touching the boiling water so actually it's just steaming the tamal while letting the husks do their work.I will continue to steam mine as this scares me a tad ,but bottom line tamales are not delicate french pastries they are very hardly little creatures who just need to cook long enough with tasty ingredients inside might try this

  • i'm getting read to try this technique, wish me luck!!

  • no!!! big mistake!!! water is not supose to touch the tamales.

  • Many cooks actually boil their tamales instead of steaming them. There are many, many, many ways to both make and cook tamales. Critics, if you know so much, make your OWN tamal making video.

  • @crasshag there are many kinds of tamales, but only one way to cook them,if you said that you dont know what you talking about,Im cook tamales for sale,I am a profetional I know what Iam talking about, and tamales are steam not boil!

  • omg!...theyre not supposed to touch the water! lol..

theyre supposed to be steamed not boiled lol..

but its cute that hes trying :)

  • It looks like a great idea

  • And they're really good with Taco Bell sauce, Yall'.

And Jack's Taco sauce is my wife's favorite.

  • What a fantastic idea! This would be especially great in the summertime when the kitchen is really hot, because an electric skillet does not heat the entire kitchen like a stovetop does.

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Gringos, as usual over analizing every single detail. I love it!!
