This is beautiful and I will practice -- however, I wish I could see someone who is left handed do this.  I took a calligraphy class and out of 15 people, I was the only lefty - the instructor told me she had been teaching for 20 years and had only 2 left handed people become successful! :(

Can you explain to me why "t" and "f" have horizontal lines on different levels? Is it like a rule I must follow? O.o

@CrazyIMG it's adopted from the olde english f (which was probably adopted from Anglo-saxon s which looked a lot like a modern german 'hard s' and resembles our modern day 'section' dingbat). that's how it's supposed to be written, it's really a modified form of an existing letter and the crossbar shows that. english has changed and all our letter's little defining marks have homogenized for ease of writing. Really comes down to as long as it's readable, and it certainly reads as an f.
