Based on the comments made here, seems that many skipped the reading and writing portion of school, opting for the more important 'social issues' courses. Of course, without being able to read or write, they just listened to there teachers and took those words and made them their own. Explain how a play about the LA riots in 1992--riots in which primarily African-Americans and Hispanics destroyed propriety, looted, burned down stores and beat innocents--made "whitey" look bad.
