Review of three securty software: Norton, Mcafee and 1 care

Norton and McAfee can really SLOW DOWN your computer. I just use the Firewall that comes with Windows now and Yahoo and Google email have their own anti-spam protection. I have never needed any anti-viral stuff, but if I did, I'd download a freebie. People download all this stuff for protection and it just slows down your computer and is itself malware with all the reminders and popups it creates. Really, Microsoft needs to offer free anti-viral protection with it's operating system.

Its funny how when trying to run both Norton and Mcafee on a pc, Norton sees Mcaffee as a virus and tries to delete it, Mcaffee sees Norton as an attacker and tries to stop it ,and your machine goes nuts!

Norton Security Suite lets you save passwords within a password. What I mean is, you can save email passwords, and any kind of password can be saved. And you can secure them behind a seperate password which remembers the email password.

i dont have a internet security system and im not in serious trouble. All i use is the windows defender and the linksys router firewall. Just scan all your torrents/files you get online by jotti. You shouldnt even use microsoft outlook. Sorry but you sound very amateur.

mcafee is better than norton antivirus and norton 2010 but mcafee is not better than norton 360 norton 360 is the best virus protection you will ever have

Well, let's think this through ..

Norton Vs. McAffee

Norton & McAffee are really the Same to me. McAffee is "LIGHT" to your Computer. Norton is "HEAVY" to your Computer. Another thing that made Norton less popular was that if you wanted to REMOVE Norton AntiVirus/Internet Security, all it's files would not come off. So I pick McAffee as it does have web protection (See if a Website is Dangerous or Not). What I picked is MY OPINION, not forced to take Upon. Hope this Helped! :)

In the past yes, Norton was heavy but they have work on that problem very well. Norton 2010 Pretty light weight now. they even have a program in it that can protect even most unknow threats from getting on your computer

MaCfee is the real name for it, its a good software for a computer, my version locks and destroys viruses in my chest and out in the normal, for those who posted a year ago, give it a chance now, it kicks ass vs. norton and 1 care now.

Mcafee ranked very low and comsumes a lot of resources. However the best antivirus is NOD32 or kaspersky as they offer the best detection rates and scan very fast and they don't not hog system resources.

I just like to tell you before you start shouting about what antivirus is better consider all of the aspects. First of all if you do some reasearch Norton has a very high detection rate of viruses and yes it does slow down your computer.

I have had so many clients complain about Nortons and i would not touch it or Mcafee's they have seriously lost the plot. Unless you have 2 - 3 gig of RAM and dont mind it totally messing up your OS i would STAY away from it

McAfee SUX,Bought the home security version.McAfee let a virus through, didn't get the protection I $ for.McAfee solution: I do all the work,uninstall,re-install,down­load patch. Why pay for noting? Contacted McA, get back w/me within 24-48 hrs, NEVER HAPPENED. Called/complained 3 wks later, got 'sorry for the inconvience U experienced' No refund no nothing. Uninstalled McA downloaded VGA, problem fixed. My thoughts of McAFEE, EXTORSION, USLESS A CONDUM W/HOLE @ BOTH ENDS, YOU'LL GET IN THE END.

mcafee is shit my dad had it on his comp and when we upgraded it it fucked up and then prevented us from uninstalling it we had to go on mcafee technical support to get a file to remove security centre and it worked but the fact a file like that has been made tells me this problem has happened before mcafee=shit AVG=good

Mcafee personal firewall is horrible. It'll block your trusted programs every time you update that trusted program. If you're into gaming Mcafee is a horrible choice. Its like the program is too stupid to understand that the trusted program should be trusted even when patches have been added to it.

the latest mcafee engine has a gameing "trust" watch & allow" option to deal with that issue but even so its only doing what its supposed to do .if you have a full paid up legal install with the latest updates etc it do`s a good job . ps if you add a patch to any program then run it of course the change is detected thats a good thing ! after all to the prog its detected the change & is letting you know that it has.
