  • Of ALL the super heros there ever was (including Batman) NO super hero can inspire fear in the harts of evil then the ASTONISHING ANT-MAN. Plus! No one is better with the ladies.

  • @barrybeavis lol this is true! :)

  • Henry Pym is ubercool.

  • Thanks for this trip down memory lane, ClassicComicsMan. Having been born in 1973 and growing up with a father who enjoyed Marvel Comics, I've always followed Hank Pym in all his incarnations. It's good to see others appreciate this well defined and vital character who has helped define the Marvel Universe even to 2009.

    Exelsior :)

  • Thanks so much Netromancer, I think Hank Pym still has potential and glad you agree :)

  • Great job telling the youtube folks about our lil' or should I say big hero Ant Man! Have you seen the Ultimates! It's a modern Revamp of the Original Avengers! Unfortunately they made Henry Pym abusive to his wife Janet! Later they explain it as a side affect to his shape changing meds! It's not as innocent and Light hearted as the original silver age stories but it's well written! You may want to check those out if you haven't already! Again KUDOS on an awesome channel! Pops

  • Thanks, Pops! I haven't seen the Ultimates, but I've heard of it. As I said, Marvel just never treated Henry... and Janet... Pym right! I understand Ant-Man may appear in an upcoming Avengers movie, and that's very exciting! I hope they finally give the little guy some big respect! Have a great day :)

  • Umm I think he gets his own movie right before being in the Avengers movie.

  • I heard that as well, and hopefully it'll lead to a revival of the character, at least that would be truly, er, astonishing! :)

  • Well it's about fricking time Steve!!! LOL I was wondering it's been since November since you talked shop. Great vid very nostalgic. Keep 'em coming weekly! What do you think about classic X-men and Batman?

  • I like both classic X-Men and Batman quite a bit. I have THE BATMAN CHRONICLES, Vol. 1, which reprints the very earliest Batman comics in full color, it's an awesome volume. I'll try to post more comics videos more often, thanks for the kind words! :)

  • You're right, Jack, there is something special and interesting about seeing the artwork in black and white. You get to the see it in its original state, which is cool. I'm enjoying this volume so much, I don't even miss the color! Great to hear from you, have a very Happy New Year! :)

  • Wow Bravo Steve!!!! I have been waiting for one of these comic vids and I got it Merry Christmas to me :). Awesome book and your daughter is a sweet heart for getting it for you. My daughter is only 2 but I hope someday to share the same moments also. Essentials and Showcase is the only thing I buy from the big two anymore. You cant beat the stories of the past. Yeah I know they are all in B & W but you still get the entire origin :). Again thanks for the vid and pls pls keep em coming

  • Thanks for the kind comments, George, the comics vids will definitely continue... it's too much a part of my life, too deeply imbedded in my soul or something like that :) I've read comics ever since I could read, and before that my Mom and my aunt read them to me. And I'll keep reading and collecting until I can't do it anymore. Ant-Man is a personal favorite, Marvel should let me write the character-- I'd give Hank Pym the respect he deserves! Have a very Happy New Year, and all the best :)
