@BushiWaazup There is, huh? So, what you are telling me is that Okinawa develops a style of fighting that they want to use and an outsider improves it for them? Don't think so. You don't seem to get it just as many others don't get it. If Okinawa developed karate and it had only one punch and kick, your adding to it or altering what they developed is not an improvement, it is corruption. Only the west thinks that way and it stems from vanity and arrogance. Karate is an Okinawan art, period.
awesome, this looks really interesting, to see Jitte's roots. I have no historical knowlegde of Jitte what so ever, but this must be closer to the original then Wado and Shotokan ryu.
Just 4 days ago we finished a stage with Master O. Higa. It was wonderful experience and all of us were shocked by his incredible fast and power techniques. The hips movement together with other principles of our school make it possible. Greetings for all Kyudokan practitioners from Poland and Italy!
Oscar HIGA Hanshi-Technical Director of World Okinawan Shorinryu KYUDOKAN Karatedo Renmei is a great teacher, with 90% semblance of my Filipino Shorinryu Teacher, my Great Master MANNY Q. DURAN. The Master OSCAR visited us On October 5-11, 2005 and extensively trained and learned the fundamental principles of "Kyudokan Karate" -and katas:Fukyukata Ichi-Ni; 5 Pinan Series; 3 Naihanchi series; Unsu, Jion and Passai Sho.
I only heard about his emphasized hip move, yet never had the opportunity of seeing him in action. There happens to be a Kyudokan dojo not very far from my place, and this vid makes me think it's worth giving it a fair chance! thnx for loading it up :)

@BushiWaazup Shotokan (JKA) is not a ryu, it is a sport and woefully short of karate.
