I'm not a fan of either, but I respect Dane Cook's right to exist, which I can't say for Larry the Cable Guy. I don't think Cook is funny, but he's clearly got his own schtick and I don't think there's anyone out there who does what he does better than he does. His primary audience is probably 14-16 year olds, but he's fine for what he does.

Larry the Cable Guy, on the other hand, represents everything that's wrong with America.

Andy Kindler - Giving EVERYONE that thought they could be paid to do comedy a great sense of optimism.

Guy is probably the worst comedian in the business. Notice the audience only laughs in nervousness due to not wanting to hurt his feelings.

Andy Kindler is 30x better than Dane Cook. Kindler is completely funnier than Cook without a doubt.

And I didn't crack a smile once fin this tape of his "comedy" routine. I guess I am a philistine for thinking stand-ups should be funny.

That being said, with no sarcasm or bitterness at all, Kindler is still much better than Dane Cook. Dane Cook is the worst mainstream comedian ever. Worse than Carrot Top and Larry the Cable Guy.

Dane Cook is 100% charisma, and he's entertaining... something Kindler can't be. Any time a comedian spends half his set explaining why his punchlines aren't registering is terrible.

Dane Cook sells 40k shows. Whether you like him or not... not many other comedians can say that. There's only one way to become big in comedy.... guess...

Andy is funny in his own way, but he uses the same heres your sign style approach that Bill Engvall uses. He is the typical smart asshole style comedy, which Dane Cook isn't. Although Andy has got a lot of laughs in his life, im sure the amount that Dane received is far greater.

In comedy, the 'man' supersedes the material-e.g. Steve Martin-a guy who said nothing substantial but was funny because he's just funny.
