Final Fantasy 12 - what level 99 is like early (pt 2/4: Adrammelech & Zodiac Spear)

just one question. What room is the Zodiac spear in? You see, i need to find it but i dont recall which room of the Necrohol of Nabudis it resides in. (Which zone)

I don't recall the name or anything, but if I recall, it's in one of the rooms near the center of the Necrohol of Nabudis. You'll find a group of 16 treasures. If you've avoided the 4 treasures (in front of Old Dalan's place, something in the palace, the one in Nalbina Dungeons where you get your equipment back, and the one in Phon Coast (inaccessible until quite late in the game), you'll find the Zodiac Spear in one of the chests. If you got one of the chests, you won't get it.

why you use immobilase so much?

If you can hit an enemy with immobilize, you only use ranged weapons, and the enemy doesn't have long range attacks, the enemy is very easy to deal with, practically effortless. Take the video where I deal with ring wyrm - it's such a simple battle with immobilize, it's a mark you can easily solo thanks to immobilize. Just beware of purify - cast immobilize immediately when you see that. In fact, a lot of marks are easy if they're vulnerable to immobilize.

@ulillillia yes i also immobilized ring wyrm but i see that immobilizing random enemies is waste of mana. Its a good tactic but i dont see any point doing it.

I never use emulators for any system, even the NES or Sega Genesis. I use a TV tuner and the real console.

yeah,just got those 2 helms...it was extremely easy.one thing about Turtleshell..is this the only method to acquire it or it becomes available to buy later?

There's a few omissions - the crown of laurels (light armor helm) and golden skullcap (mystic armor helm) are the most easily recalled. See my powerleveling guide for FF12 if you want to know the others (that I'm aware of) and how to get them.

Storywise, many near-top-of-the-line equipment (the defender, zodiac spear, golden skullcap, crown of laurels, and numerous others) becomes accessible as soon as you get the dawn shard... after the extra story stuff that follows right afterwards. My guide on GameFAQs explains how to get it... although there are a few errors in that part (syphon is not available, for one).

Wow it took me 15 minutes to beat the king bomb and one player died! He's so annoying because he keeps healing and calling his little minions. Granted I was a bit underleveled but I was going after the zodiac spear like you. I got it :) except my strategy was to run like hell haha.

My primary strategy is to have a berserker constantly dish out damage (who'd, at this point, have the yoichi bow (do the "lost in the pudding" hunt for this, where "Sorbet" is the petitioner)). The other 2 characters are for support, a healer equipped with mystic armor and a status-effect maintainer who serves as an emergency healer. The faith and bubble spells will really help. By getting the clan rank high enough, you can buy these from the clan shop.

I don't know, but it's likely the defender, dropped from the undead horse in Nabreus Deadlands (if I recall correctly).

did you lvl to 99 at the begging or can you start a new game w/ same stats, armour, weps, etc. after beating it?

I got level 99 from the beginning. I have a video showing you how to do it - 4 characters on level 99 within 50 hours, potentially even 40.

The zodiac spear is useless against Adrammelech. You can't get the zodiac spear if you've gotten any of those 3 treasures you're supposed to avoid (there's actually 4, but the other is inaccessible until a long ways away), and you've reached the point in the game where you get the Dawn Shard. After this, and associated side quests, you can get into the Mosphoran Highwaste which will eventually lead you to the Necrohol of Nabudis, which contains the Zodiac Spear.

That's not my playing style. I've always gone after high levels early in the game.

its because Adrammalech uses Internet Explorer to surf the internet so Firefox is his #1 weakness.

Set your speaker's balance more toward the left. As it's been since my first videos with my narration, the game's sound track is on the right speaker and my narration is on the left. By adjusting the balance, you can choose between these or have both at once.

Hahaha! I was listening to your video with those cheap ipod earphones and only had the right side in, that's why it never occurred to me you would go this route. Good video by the way!
