  • Were you singing falsetto on the high notes or was that full voice? So rad.. I wish you did the entire song.

  • @06davidwaterman Thanks! I sang the tenor part in full voice most of the way and in mixed voice on the high G towards the end. The song isn't very rangy, it's perfectly in baritone range. ;-)

  • @sweetone1896 Thank you! ;-)

  • My father said that this song used to be sang in Public schools in the Philippines before world War II presumably brought by American school teachers during the commonwealth. If he is right then this song is very very old.

I never realized how beautiful this song is until I heard this version.

  • @ambrosiobertodazo Thanks, I'm delighted you enjoyed my little show! There's more A Cappella on my channel. And of course feel free to share some of my videos with friends. ;-)

  • you made me SQUEE~!

Hardly anyone sings oldies songs like this anymore, and you sing them so well~! you. are. awesome.

  • @pennilesspainter Thank you for you kind words, I'm delighted you enjoyed this old classic. I'm honestly surprised people don't listen to these old classics nowadays. For me it sure beats most of the auto-tuned & vain crap I hear today.

  • Perfectly matched!! Now, sing a tad bit slower, draw out the harmonies on the end of a line, and you've just won my heart!!

  • Welche Sprachen sprichst du?

  • I am a 15 Year old girl from austria and i love this song how you sing it :D (my english is bad)

  • @mangocherryred Thank you very much, I'm delighted you enjoy my work. Do tell your friends too! Cheers ;-)

  • ur really cute and i love your voice ^,.,^

  • Hey are you French or what ? (champs-élysées without accent) and I just love what you do. It's great to find someone who knows how to sing ! and doing it well !! That changes from so called geniuses who are just "normal" people.

  • @simoncusonnet Thanks! Yes, I'm French. I also speak English and usually sing in English because there are more a cappella arrangements for English songs than there are for French songs (I wrote the one for Champs-Elysées). I'm glad you enjoy my work! Some of my songs are on iTunes by the way (just search for "trudbol") or visit my channel page, all the links are there. Thanks for commenting ;-)

  • @trudbol C?est bien ce que j'ai découvert après avoir écouté quelques-unes de tes chansons. Brvo pour ta production Trop fort !

  • @trudbol You had *me* fooled. When you speak English you sound like an American. Have you spent time in the States? Amazing. And yes, I'm heading over to itunes when I get paid.

  • @DavCynLondon I lived in the US for a few years yes, in San Francisco and near Los Angeles.

And the songs on iTunes are only 99 cents.. ;-)

  • @trudbol Over at itunes right now. Hey, you need more songs there!

  • @trudbol I lived in both the SF area and LA, too -- Husband, kids, and I are now up on an island in the Puget Sound where I'm involved in theatre. There is a large barbershop chorus on the island next to who offer singing telegrams. (I'm the one commenting on Facebook the past day or so. I'm not a stalker, really!!!!) :-)

  • Dude awesome! You should do the whole song. You ever listen to the Mills Brothers old stuff?

  • @washragjoe Thanks! Yes, I know and really enjoy the Mills Brothers. I've been getting recent requests to cover "Till Then". If you can find the arrangement (or get it transcribed), I'd be happy to (try to) do it. Cheers ;-)

  • Ah, just like the old days. When will and your identical twin brothers be making your debut? Quadruplets that all look alike and that sing different parts--what an amazing tour you guys will have! How famous you will all be! Keep up the good work, all!

    LOL >:o)

  • Can't decide between amazingly talented and brilliantly realized....

  • @skiprydell1 Thank you very much. Please share my video with your friends and tell them to check out my work. I'm trying to get my name out there and your help is more than welcome. ;-)

  • I can't sing or pick up girls, so I just send them this link and it works well enough.

  • @CiZination LOL ;-)

  • Wow, you are really fantastic.

    That sounds absolutely great :D

  • @ElvensChild Thank you very much! I hope your friends will also enjoy this video (hint hint). ;-)

  • Hey Julien, congratulations, really really nice! Julien, do you use any special software to do your recordings? I'd like to try do do some recordings for fun as well as it's quite improbable I'd get to form a barbershop quartet here in Brazil.

  • @laertejs2 Thanks! I see we have the same problem : nobody sings barbershop in our countries unfortunately. For software, I use Audacity and Sony Vegas Pro. And if you're looking to purchase audio learning tracks, you can contact me at jneel(at)free(dot)fr. Cheers ;-)

  • Someday I hope that the hair and the music will not be contr-indicated. Beautiful music by a a culture that was much, much, much more personal.

  • i'm now your BIGGEST fan ever. i love you i love you i love you!!

  • @polkadotpolka123 Thank you, thank you, thank you! You just made my day. ;-)

  • Should do Beautiful Dreamer, great quartet song. This is really awesome.

  • We've been singing this as a warm up in Girls Glee and I really enjoyed it the first time we did it. I'd never heard it before. I decided to look it up, and I found this! It's pretty freaking awesome, man! Don't quit doing this stuff :D I also really enjoy Tee Idle Dum Dum (:

  • @nickyoneal94 Thank you! Feel free to share my video with friends on Facebook and let them know about my music, I'd appreciate it. Cheers ;-)

  • @trudbol Dude, this is so rad. I've listened to it like 10 times haha. Very inspiring, I need to go try this now! What software did you use to put this together?

  • dude you're fuckin awesome

  • @mikebibs2451 Thanks! Feel free to share this video on your Facebook wall, and let your friends know about my music, I'd appreciate the support! Cheers ;-)

  • @trudbol consider it done brosef

  • Hach~

    thats soooo~ amazing... *sigh*

    your such a great singer

  • heheh i like how you used the color thing hehe beautaful did you use something to change the pitch of your voice!?

  • @lovedapizza1 Thanks! No, I don't change the pitch or tone of my voice. I had taken a week of vocal lessons right before this video and had worked on the vowel "OO", hence the different tone quality you may perceive. ;-)

  • @trudbol AWSOME! i can get high and low like that i wonder how it would affect my singing if i took classes lol i you have a vocal variety you can through a cat though :D

lol if i took classes id probably get to have a voice as low as ron perlman voice level and as high to imitate a pixy fart level XD

  • dude..you look like the weasley twins :D

  • Beautiful:]

you should sing "a teenager in love" by dion & the belmonts.

  • @purple2zebra I'd be happy to give it a shot, if you can provide me with sheet music. ;-)

  • Great Job!!

  • @bladderfish Thanks, glad you enjoyed this old tune. Feel free to share my video with friends, I'd appreciate it! Cheers ;-)

  • love the hair!

    :)

  • @THEJOKER3009 Thank my mom for that. ;-)

  • Thumbs up if you think he's CUTE!

  • @eightsides Thumbs up! ;-)

  • Where did you learn to arrange these songs? Seriously, mad skills bro. I can has lessons?

  • Just insane skills, that's all it takes. No training, no nothing just let's do it. Pfft!!!!

Some ppl are born with a talent, I do have one, but it's not a musical thing, more like mechanical. So these fingers will never string the chords of Bach, but I tried.

Julien is so out-standlingly talented, I'm almost shocked he hasn't been on TV before.

But then, how can he make an upstage performance.?

But all in all with this guy, supreme brilliance!

  • @BlutoLongneck Trust me, it's a lot of hard work and practice to make these videos. I just have no vocal training, but I practice a lot on my own. Regarding stage performance, I'm starting to give it a shot and sing in a group now. The one man act is indeed hard to pull off live, unless I bring a yhole bunch a computer monitors with me... ;-)

  • SO GOOD! next, dubstep and dnb remix :DD

  • 7 people are walking this Earth without a soul

  • Wow! Volevo farti i miei complimenti, le tue interpretazioni sono eccellenti :)

  • @iperuranea Grazie! ;-)

  • Nicely done. You would benefit from appogio breathing, though. You're breathing is very audible and too high; you would get much better power and sostenuto if you breathed lower.

Also, keep a more grounded stance and raise your sternum.

  • @BurlyLumberjack Thanks! I would be glad to make sense and use what you just said, but I have no vocal training and wouldn't know where to start. The breathing may also be audible for simple EQing reasons too, I may have increased the volume of breaths too much by accident. Thanks for your constructive feedback, I appreciate it. ;-)

  • o3o okay

  • I've always loved barbershop quartets. You do it so nicely, and I'm glad that another person shares the love of them. I listen to your music all the time. You're like a one man quartet. This is amazing. I love it.

  • @TheBruteSquadof1 Ah, thank you very much for the kind words. I'm glad you enjoy my work! Cheers and stay tuned for more soon... ;-)

  • @trudbol You're very welcome. I'm very excited, and cannot wait for more of your lovely music!

  • I'm impressed that you can sing four parts so well. Try something a little faster, with a little more melodic interest... Vive L'Amour?

  • @Pyralus08 I thought this song had a great melody, but I agree that the tempo is a little slow. I wanted to focus on vowel quality on this one. Check out my channel for more energetic songs, such as "Coney Island Baby", "Sitting On Top OF The World" or "Everybody Wants To Be A Cat". Cheers ;-)

  • I think I'M in love! <3 <3 <3

I adore your singing! Please never stop, you lighten up my day with your videos and amazing voice xx

  • @Flakygal Ah, thanks, I'm flattered! ;-)

  • SUPER-duper..

  • @neon854 Thank you! ;-)

  • haha, I'm totally spamming you, but I just can't shut up about how awesome this is. I've seen so much acapella artists here on youtube, and you're the only one that I keep watching. Thank you! you make me feel great!

  • @SuperHamster2 Ah, thanks, it's really a pleasure to read your comments. Hope you'll enjoy your stay in Paris. Cheers

  • If there was really 4 of you, you would be a perfect quartet.

  • @LiinkFreek Thanks! I'm glad you like my music. ;-)

  • You can call me sweetheart any time you want :D

  • @kereader Thanks sweetie! Yeah, that was an easy one, I know. ;-)

  • @jawilbur1994 I use "Sony Vegas Pro". The effect you're mentioning is "split screen".

  • that was phenomenal

  • @cdciam09 Thank you! Feel free to post it on your Facebook wall and let your friends know about my work, I'd appreciate it! Cheers ;-)
