All Aussie soldiers, from chaplains corps to the SAS are trained to aim each and every shot fired with the goal being one shot one kill. Unfortunately the older afghanistan wars are nothing like the current conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan, most of the time, you won't see the enemy, and they're either ready for you, or hiding well enough that you cant find them, hence these guys are pretty scared that they're in a building they don't know, surrounded by an unknown number of prepared opponents, with the only ways down being through the building, or in front of a fortified position... sure as hell shouldnt blame them.

I served in Russian army for two years. and in 2004 i decided to join US Army, been here ever since.

Well first of all, this is not the Army, its Marines, but i do get your point. Second of all, they act normal for this kind of situation. These guys are not special forces or recons, they are regular infantry. I would like to see how would you keep your cool in situation like this. and third of all, US Military is one of the best trained military in the world. I should know, i served in Russian army and now serving in US Army, so i can compare.

And this just wasnt a very professional display IMO. I know US Military is amon the best, thats why this display here kinda shocked me.

If you were SF, you would understand that these men acted normal for the situation they were in. From a civilian point of view, after seeing hollywood movies about great raids, and with out knowing what real combat is, yes you probobly think this is shity job done by the marines. However, trust me they did what had to be done, with out single casualty. It could of been much worst.

I never mentioned that I compared this to hollywood action films. Go take a look at other Marine combat or SF or coalition forces videos and you'll notice like I have the differences.
I wouldnt be so quick to judge if I didnt have anything to compare with.

I totally understand your point of view, but what i'm trying to say, is that videos, live or not, can not judge the situation and a fear that overcomes you when you in actual combat. I think those guys did their job pretty well. The point is, job is done zero casualties on our side = job well done. But i do agree with you, it could of been done diffrently and easier. But once again it is hard to say with out being there.

Think what if that was a soldier in prone position, trying to crawl under fire, then you'll understand.
As for unsafe.. theres a weapons discharge by a Marine that pulls the trigger while running.. its a pretty sloppy mistake.

I would clear each room the way I would be trained to do so. It is real life, people do die. They knew that when they signed up.
A soldiers job is to stay alive long enough to kill as many enemy soldiers as he can. If you would rather try to fight a war while not risking your life, then you picked the wrong career.
Look at special forces, look at the french forgien legion, British, Canadian, Australian. They all follow their training and even die by it. You dont see them acting sloppy.

Unfortunately the older afghanistan wars are nothing like the current conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan, most of the time, you won't see the enemy, and they're either ready for you, or hiding well enough that you cant find them, hence these guys are pretty scared that they're in a building they don't know, surrounded by an unknown number of prepared opponents, with the only ways down being through the building, or in front of a fortified position... sure as hell shouldnt blame them.
