For everyone here who's a vergil fan. There was a DMC4 manga released and it explains that vergil is nero's dad. They don't know who his mom is but they think it was a prostitute due to the fact the town nero was born in was full of prostitutes and he was made fun of a lot as a child because of it.
Vergil even met up and talked with the main antagonist of DMC4(bad guy) sanctus and told him "its funny you worship a god like sparda, but who will you worship, the god or the son who surpassed him?"
This is cool but so unrealistic. Dante never runs out of bullets and he uses about 50 every fight scene. He doesn't even reload and what happens to all the weapons he gets.

@drakemanification InuYasha only wanted power to an extent. If you knew about InuYasha, you'd know he made a decision in one of the videos to defeat Naraku as a HALF DEMON. He willingly chose to remain a half-demon, as opposed to him being a stronger full demon. They BROTHERs. InuYasha and Sesshoumaru also had swords that KILLED. Obv. the time period is different. I was referring to the basic concept of the story. Both dante and vergil are half demons.
I like how in the first scene of each mission, the number of the mission comes up (at the start of mission 7, the number 7 shows when Dante wipes a line of his blood on a wall, which then drips down to form a 7. At 10, it's the bloodstain on Arkhams book at the end of the scene) It's unique.

Wouldn't be it just perfect if they made DMC game where you play co-op story mode with one player being dante and second being vergil fighting in demon world. It would be waay better than this crap that Ninja Theory are making.
I really would have loved to see how far this story could have extended. I was liking the direction which it was going. It had all the indications that Virgil was destined to return. The question would have been if he was friend or foe? Guess we'll never know since Capcom is rebooting the game with a new Dante without his trademark white hair or red coat. Why can't the good things ever last?

@1bigboy4eva It's just a little bit of fun the creators put in the game. At the beginning of each mission there's a number in the cutscene; i.e. a 1 before mission 1, a 2 before mission 2, a 3 before mission 3...
If they are right about the level of interaction with the game environment, it will be awesome, also again, back to Tony Redgrave (Yay, have the books on order) - Dante's other alias when he first encounters Vergil... He hated his demon heritage and tried to hide it, so yeah, it goes without saying his blonde hair will probably come back.
if you can (not sure outside of australia) there is an Au IGN rundown of the dmc5 clip and how its possible its done between two dimensions as when the strung up Dante is shocked the fighting Dante also appears in pain. It also discusses the weapon that he uses and freeze frames how it changes to different weapons from point to point. (as opposed to changing weapons). Interesting, but we'll see. I think they are rebooting series to get canon right.
I heard that dante on the new DMC is him before 3 when he hasnt realised his true powers yet he looks like a fucking fag! but hopefully as you get into the game he will start to become more like the real dante and at the end you will look like dante in DMC3, and will loose that stupid changing weapon and stop smoking and become cocky and awesome.
Love it! I am praying that they decided to ignore most of the canon from 1 & 2 and restart with 3 & 4... then they can bring Vergil back on his own and not as part of Nero....

@ozjenjen Awwww...but in 1 and 2 Dante totally destroyed with the Sparda Transformations. In 1 and 2 he took on his 2 strongest enemies: Mundus was Sparda's rival and Argosax was stronger than Mundus with only Sparda beating him prior to Dante and in the anime, which is set between 1 and 4, he took on Abigal who was Mundus' equal in power and beat him in like 30 seconds. Cutting out 1, 2, the anime and the manga would make Dante seem less epic because he basically took on 3 gods
@BadatStuff I played one when it first came out, so i'm pretty shaky on that one. 2 i can't get my hands on. I'm not prejudice against the game play in 1&2 (I love Dante, he rocks), I just want Vergil back as a current character ;) and since Vergil was killed in 1 :'( it wont happen unless Nero is him but all messed up and if it is I hope they haven't done it in an effort to 'redeem' Vergil and make him all sweet. He is great as Dante's antagonist, someone he cares about but fights.
@BadatStuff I haven't read the manga, looked at a few wiki's on it and it seems to point that Vergil was around in the years before DMC1... as i said i'm really shaky on 1 but i thought there was no mention of Vergil and Dante together from age 8 till DMC1??? they are just a little conflicting is all. @ozjenjen Well...DmC/DMC5 is coming out so who knows? Maybe he'll be back and the 2 of them will team up. Back in the day Dante hated being a half-demon and in DMC3 Dante said it'd been "about a year since we last met" so maybe they team up for a bit and Vergil will convince him to cut off that dyed hair and get him to quit smoking (you'll see what I mean in the trailer)

Are those all of virgil's scenes? I thought he had his own little part in the game.I know the begainning is virgils, but aren't there a few cutscenes while his doing his missions?

dante gets stabbed by 4 or 5 demon scythes from the 1st cutscene and he hardly feels anything but him getting stabbed by just one katana (yamato) in mission 7 cutscene actually makes him fall on the ground . . . yamato is something else huh . .

@1bigboy4eva It's just a little bit of fun the creators put in the game. At the beginning of each mission there's a number in the cutscene; i.e. a 1 before mission 1, a 2 before mission 2, a 3 before mission 3...

If they are right about the level of interaction with the game environment, it will be awesome, also again, back to Tony Redgrave (Yay, have the books on order) - Dante's other alias when he first encounters Vergil... He hated his demon heritage and tried to hide it, so yeah, it goes without saying his blonde hair will probably come back.

if you can (not sure outside of australia) there is an Au IGN rundown of the dmc5 clip and how its possible its done between two dimensions as when the strung up Dante is shocked the fighting Dante also appears in pain. It also discusses the weapon that he uses and freeze frames how it changes to different weapons from point to point. (as opposed to changing weapons). Interesting, but we'll see. I think they are rebooting series to get canon right.

I heard that dante on the new DMC is him before 3 when he hasnt realised his true powers yet he looks like a fucking fag! but hopefully as you get into the game he will start to become more like the real dante and at the end you will look like dante in DMC3, and will loose that stupid changing weapon and stop smoking and become cocky and awesome.

Love it! I am praying that they decided to ignore most of the canon from 1 & 2 and restart with 3 & 4... then they can bring Vergil back on his own and not as part of Nero....
Well maybe in 6 :( but hopefully somewhere in 5 :)

@ozjenjen Awwww...but in 1 and 2 Dante totally destroyed with the Sparda Transformations. In 1 and 2 he took on his 2 strongest enemies: Mundus was Sparda's rival and Argosax was stronger than Mundus with only Sparda beating him prior to Dante and in the anime, which is set between 1 and 4, he took on Abigal who was Mundus' equal in power and beat him in like 30 seconds. Cutting out 1, 2, the anime and the manga would make Dante seem less epic because he basically took on 3 gods

@BadatStuff I played one when it first came out, so i'm pretty shaky on that one. 2 i can't get my hands on. I'm not prejudice against the game play in 1&2 (I love Dante, he rocks), I just want Vergil back as a current character ;) and since Vergil was killed in 1 :'( it wont happen unless Nero is him but all messed up and if it is I hope they haven't done it in an effort to 'redeem' Vergil and make him all sweet. He is great as Dante's antagonist, someone he cares about but fights.

@BadatStuff I haven't read the manga, looked at a few wiki's on it and it seems to point that Vergil was around in the years before DMC1... as i said i'm really shaky on 1 but i thought there was no mention of Vergil and Dante together from age 8 till DMC1??? they are just a little conflicting is all. I love all the games...
I JUST WANT VERGIL BACK!!! XD (Sorry i squealed that last line, i didn't scream it) ;)

@ozjenjen Well...DmC/DMC5 is coming out so who knows? Maybe he'll be back and the 2 of them will team up. Back in the day Dante hated being a half-demon and in DMC3 Dante said it'd been "about a year since we last met" so maybe they team up for a bit and Vergil will convince him to cut off that dyed hair and get him to quit smoking (you'll see what I mean in the trailer)
